Kanwar Yatra 2025: Schools and colleges are going to remain closed in UP due to Kanwar Yatra. The UP government has made this announcement to avoid any kind of crowd in the Kanwar Yatra.
Schools in UP will remain closed from July 16 to July 23, 2025. All schools, colleges and educational institutions have been ordered to remain closed in Meerut and Muzaffarnagar districts of Uttar Pradesh. This decision has been taken in view of the heavy crowd and traffic system during the Kanwar Yatra.
All schools will remain closed from 16 to 23 July
Meerut District Magistrate VK Singh said that during this time there is a large movement of Kanwar pilgrims, which can cause traffic disruption and can also endanger the safety of students. Therefore, it has been decided to keep all schools closed temporarily. All schools will now reopen on July 24.
