According to the list of holidays of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will remain closed for a total of 12 days in the month of June according to different states and occasions across the country. Apart from Sunday, second and fourth Saturday, all the holidays according to the states have been included in this.
The list of RBI holidays is released every year
RBI releases a list of holidays every year in collaboration with the state governments, which can be seen on its official website. All government and private banks in the country remain closed every Sunday and on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Apart from this, some holidays are in the state only. Then the bank branches remain closed only in that state. Otherwise, banks remain open in all the states.
Long weekend on Bakrid in Kerala
In the beginning of June, people living in Kerala are going to get a long weekend. On Friday, June 6, banks will be closed in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid). While in the rest of the country, there will be a holiday on June 7 (Saturday) for Bakrid and a weekly holiday on June 8 (Sunday). In this way, people of Kerala will not be able to avail banking branch services for three days.

Digital services will continue
Despite the banks being closed, customers can transact through net banking, mobile banking, UPI and ATM. However, check clearing and other manual services will not be available during these holidays. If you have any important work related to the bank, then check the list of holidays and settle it beforehand so that you do not face any problem.
