Following the announcement of the results, celebrations erupted at the Jan Suraaj Party headquarters and outside the counting centre at A.N. College in Patna.

BJP accepts the verdict
Reacting to the outcome, Bihar BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi said the party respected the people’s mandate.
He stated that the BJP accepts the democratic verdict and believes in reviewing its performance through introspection rather than blaming institutions such as Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) or the Election Commission.
Why was the bypoll held?
The by-election was necessitated after Nitin Nabin resigned from the Bankipur Assembly seat following his election to the Rajya Sabha in April.
The polling took place on July 30, recording a voter turnout of 34.30%, lower than the 41.45% turnout recorded during the previous Assembly election.
