DA Hike: 2 allowances of central employees may increase, government may announce this month

Central Employee DA Hike 2023 : Central employees can get 2 big gifts soon. According to media reports, the Modi government at the Center can increase Dearness Allowance (DA) of employees and Dearness Relief (DR) of pensioners by up to 4 percent respectively.

If this happens, the dearness allowance of the employees will increase from 42 to 46 per cent. Due to this, there will be a minimum increase of Rs 2000 in the salary. This decision will benefit 1 crore employees and pensioners of the country.

AICPI June figures to be released on July 31 – DA may increase by 4%

Actually, the dearness allowance of central government central employees is increased twice a year. This increase depends on the figures of the AICPI index of the Labor Ministry. So far, the figures till May 2023 have been released, in which the rate of dearness allowance has reached 45.57 points. Now only the June figures are yet to come, which will be released on July 31.

It will be clear from this that by how much the dearness allowance of the employees and pensioners will increase from July. It is expected that there may be a 4 per cent hike in DA in July. If this happens, the DA of government employees will increase to 46 per cent. The government will announce this in October-November but it will be considered applicable from July 1, 2023.

Maximum salary can increase

If the basic salary of a government employee is Rs 18000, then he gets a DA of Rs 7560 at the rate of 42%. When it becomes 46% then DA will be Rs 8280 per month. According to this, there will be an increase of Rs 720 in the salary every month. If someone’s salary is Rs 56900, then he will get a benefit of Rs 2,276 every month and Rs 27,312 annually.

Government can increase HRA

According to media reports, the government can also increase the HRA (House Rent Allowance – HRA) along with the dearness allowance. The last HRA was increased in July 2021 and it was increased to 25%. This time there is a possibility of an increase of 3 percent. It is believed that HRA can be increased by 3% in X class cities and only 2% in Y class cities and 1% in Z class cities. Since the HRA of the government employee is increased on the basis of the city, it has been kept in X, Y and Z category.
