DA Hike 2025: The central government has given a major gift to government employees waiting for a dearness allowance increase before Diwali. The government has announced a 3% increase in the dearness allowance for central government employees. This increase will be effective from July 1, 2025. This dearness allowance increase comes ahead of festivals like Dussehra and Diwali. With this increase, the total dearness allowance has increased from 55% to 58%. The dearness allowance is reviewed twice a year in January and July.
The arrears for July, August, and September will be paid to central government employees along with the October salary, just before Diwali. This increase will apply to all central government employees covered under the Seventh Pay Commission, as well as pensioners and family pensioners. This increase will benefit approximately 4.92 million employees and 6.87 million pensioners.
