Bihar Employee DA Hike update : Bihar CM Nitish government has given great news to lakhs of employees today. The increase in DA of employees has been approved in the cabinet meeting.

The state government has increased the dearness allowance by 4 percent. From now on, employees will get DA at the rate of 46 percent. This dearness allowance will be effective from July 1, 2023. The central government had increased the dearness allowance of the employees on October 18. The central government had also increased dearness allowance at the rate of 4 percent. Let us tell you that before this, many state governments including UP have increased dearness allowance.

These workers will get the benefit of DA/DR

In two important decisions related to the Finance Department, Nitish Cabinet has given inflation rate of 46% instead of 42% to the government servants/pensioners/family pensioners of the state government receiving salary/pension in the Seventh Central Revised Pay Structure with effect from 01.07.2023.

Gave its approval regarding acceptance of allowance/relief. Now the government servants/pensioners/family pensioners of the state government receiving salary/pension of Bihar will get 46% dearness allowance instead of 42% from July 1, 2023.

These proposals were also approved

  • Apart from this, a total of 40 proposals were approved in the Bihar Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday. In this, it has been decided to request the Central Government for granting special status to Bihar.
  • The new provisions of reservation, in which 65 percent reservation has now been made in Bihar, have been approved only to be included in the 9th Schedule of the Constitution. This will prevent the court from interfering.
  • The state government will provide Rs 2 lakh in installments to 94 lakh poor families for employment to one person from each family.
  • It has been decided to give Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand instead of Rs 60 thousand to 63850 houseless and landless people. Under this, 360 new buses will be operated in the state and about 7200 people will get direct employment.
  • Approval to upgrade 55 posts out of 110 posts of Patna High Court Establishment Archives to the post of Records Clerk. Approval for creation of 60 posts of translator and 20 posts of translator cum proof reader, totaling 80 posts. Approval has been given for the creation of 2261 different posts in the Rural Affairs Department.
  • Approval of Rs 180 crore has been received under the Chief Minister Block Transport Scheme. For 3600 buses, a grant of ₹ 500000 will be given to the beneficiary on the purchase of each bus. Under this, 360 new buses will be operated in the state and about 7200 people will get direct employment.
  • Approval of counseling policy for Government Engineering School and Government Polytechnic Institute of Bihar.
    Tax free approval for the film ‘Chidiya Khana’ in multiplexes and theatres.
  • Approval of 253.85 mwh battery energy storage system project with 185 MW solar power capacity at Kajra by Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited.
  • Approval has been given for the construction of 1015 new sub-health centers and 228 additional primary health centers in the state and 86 blocks where community health centers are not built. For this, approval of Rs 1754.99 crore has been received.

Earlier, many states had announced increase in DA and pension of employees even before Diwali. Bihar government had increased the DA of state employees in the month of April. Which came into effect from the month of January.

Earlier also the state government had increased dearness allowance by 4 percent. It was decided to increase it from 38 percent to 42 percent. At present, employees will get DA at the rate of 42 percent.
