New Delhi: There is a great news for the central employees. The central government is contemplating to increase the basic salary of the employees working inside it.

If this happens, then the salary of central employees is expected to increase by 8 thousand rupees.

What is the minimum salary at present

At present, the central employees get a minimum salary of Rs 18,000. If the fitment factor increases, then the minimum salary will increase to Rs 26,000. Central and state employees have long demanded that their fitment factor should be increased from 2.57 per cent to 3.68 times. According to sources, after the budget to be presented on February 1, 2023, the government can consider this demand of central employees.

DA Hike also expected next year

Apart from the increase in the fitment factor, there may also be a DA hike of the central employees. In the year 2023, the path of DA hike seems to be clear. In fact, there is an increase in the data of the Consumer Price Index (AICPI).

4 per cent may be DA Hike

The next DA hike for central employees will be done in the year 2023. But, inflation figures for industrial workers are indicating that 4 percent increase is certain. Experts are also agreeing that looking at the current situation, it seems that there will be an increase of only 4 percent.

There will be a bumper increase in salary

If in the year 2023, 4 percent DA of central employees is hiked, then this will result in a bumper increase in their salary. After the increase, the DA to the central employees will be 42 percent. With this, the basic salary received by the employees will increase by Rs 720 per month. At the same time, the salary of those getting the maximum salary will increase by Rs 2276.
