During the festive season, railway employees in Chakradharpur division will not get leave on private medical certificate (PCM) . The said arrangement will remain effective till 31 December 2023.

The Assistant Personal Officer of Chakradharpur Division has issued an order in this regard. During the festive season, most of the employees want to take leave so that they can celebrate Durga Puja, Diwali, Chhath and other festivals with their families.

There will be problems in the operation of trains due to festive holidays.

For this, employees apply for leave. Those who got leave celebrate the festival with family but those who did not get leave adopt other means to go on leave. According to Railway officials, the tradition seen in the past is that employees take leave on the pretext of illness and at the time of joining duty, they submit a private medical certificate of illness from a doctor. If all the employees take leave in this manner during the festive season, there will be problems in the operation of trains.

Chakradharpur division issued order

In such a situation, the Railway Administration has issued an order banning all such private medical certificates till 31st December. Now, if any employee falls ill within the relevant period, he will have to go to the railway hospital for treatment and follow the advice of the doctor of the railway hospital. There are approximately 5200 employees in Chakradharpur division on whom the above order will remain effective. Chakradharpur division has issued an order to ensure normal operation of trains.
