Why nomination is important

According to the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), nomination in the PF account is also necessary because after the death of the account holder, the money deposited in his account can be transferred to his nominee. Some part of the salary of every employed person is deposited in the PF account. Explain that no last date has been fixed for nomination in PF account. This can be done anytime. E-nomination can be done with e-sign. Only Aadhaar verified users can do e-nomination.

Complete process of e-nomination

To do e-nomination, first of all you have to go to its portal unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface. Here you have to add your family members. After this you have to upload the photo and Aadhaar card of all of them. Once this process is complete, you will have a PDF ready. After this, an OTP will be sent to your mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. You have to e-sign the PDF through OTP verification. Without this e-nomination will not be considered complete.

Complete process of e-signing

To do e-sign, first you have to click on the link for e-sign. After this a new page will open in front of you. There you have to select the check box. After this, two options of Aadhaar based e-authentication will appear on the next page. First Aadhaar Number and second Virtual ID. You have to enter these two and click on the option of verification.

After this, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to the base of all the members. After entering which, click on the submit option, all the details will be saved in the EPFO ​​database.
