New Delhi: Development works are going on continuously in different areas of Delhi. In such a situation, the effect is seen on the traffic. Half a kilometer of the expressway in Mahipalpur will remain closed for 3 months.

To connect the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway with the under-construction Dwarka Expressway, the construction of an underpass and flyover near Shivmurti Chowk in Mahipalpur, Delhi is going on at a fast pace. From Tuesday, March 14, the construction work of underpass from below and flyover from above will be started simultaneously from Delhi-Gurugram Expressway.

For this, about 500 meters of the expressway will be closed for the next three months. Traffic police officers and NH-48 administration can jointly conduct a trial of closure tomorrow, March 14, so that traffic is not affected. At the same time, if there is more problem, then the traffic route can also be changed. A four-lane road has been constructed near Shivmurti.

More than 75 thousand vehicles go daily from Delhi to Gurugram on NH-48. Dwarka Express flyover is to be built at Shiv Murti Chowk. Traffic will be diverted above it. Trial will be done before diverting traffic. On diverting, the speed of the vehicles reduces considerably. Because of this, there is a possibility of increasing the traffic pressure in Delhi to Gurugram area.

In view of this, NHAI appeals to the people to take alternate routes during peak hours. This will not increase the traffic pressure. During peak hours i.e. from 8 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to 9 pm there is heavy traffic on both sides from Shankar Chowk in Gurugram to Mahipalpur in Delhi.

Dwarka Expressway is being constructed at a cost of about thousand crores near Shivmurti near Mahipalpur in Delhi. Vehicles coming from Delhi side should take the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway above and the Dwarka Expressway below. For this, flyovers and underpasses are being constructed. NHAI’s project director construction sources say that in three months the construction of the underpass under the expressway and the flyover above will be completed.

Delhi Traffic Police is making people aware that
