Indigo Airlines’ new initiative is going to give a new level to Punjab’s air connectivity. In fact, from July 2, direct flight service is starting from Adampur (Jalandhar) Airport to Mumbai, which has brought relief not only to religious devotees but also to businessmen, tourists and students of Punjab. Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu called this initiative a part of the “aviation connectivity revolution” for Punjab. He said that this service will prove to be an important milestone not only in terms of a religious need but also in terms of economic and social development.
Religious faith will get support
This flight will prove to be especially beneficial for the Sikh Sangat, because now it will be much easier to reach Takht Shri Hazur Sahib located in Nanded, adjacent to Mumbai. Earlier, to go to Nanded from Adampur or Jalandhar, either a train or a combination of several flights was required, but now by reaching Mumbai by a direct flight, devotees can reach Takht Sahib soon.
Let us tell you that Mumbai is the business capital of the country and thousands of people from Punjab keep coming and going there for business and jobs. Now, both time and cost will be saved through direct flight. Also, this service will be helpful for the youth of Punjab who go to Mumbai in search of higher education or career. According to the new service, the flight will take off from Adampur Airport at around 3:30 pm and reach Mumbai at 6 pm. This service will be available daily.
