Good News of central employees: After the DA hike, the government gave another big gift

Central Govt Employees: Under the new decision, the Central Government has extended the facility of Leave Travel Concession (LTC) for two years to its employees for travel to Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Ladakh and Northeast.

After increasing the dearness allowance of central employees by 4 percent by the Modi cabinet, another gift has been given. In the last days, the government has increased the DA of employees from 34 to 38 percent. Under the new decision, the central government has extended the facility of Leave Travel Concession (LTC) to its employees for travel to Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Ladakh and Northeast for two years.

After the new decision of the government, all eligible central employees will be able to take this facility till 25 September 2024 . In an order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, it was told that the Leave Travel Concession (LTC) scheme has been extended for a period of two years from 26 September 2022 to 25 September 2024. Under this facility, the eligible employees of the Central Government get paid leave while traveling on LTC and also get money for travel tickets.

The order allowed to travel by air

states that eligible employees of the central government can avail LTC facility to travel to Jammu and Kashmir, Northeast, Ladakh and Andaman and Nicobar. Not only this, those government employees who are not eligible for air travel have also been allowed to travel by air to these states. They can travel in economy class by any airline directly from their headquarters to Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Northeast.

At the same time, the employees have also been warned that any misuse of LTC will be taken seriously and appropriate action will be taken under the employee rules. It is worth noting that in the year 2020 also, the central government had extended the period of this facility available to the central employees for two years. (IANS)
