After e-KYC, any member of the family can collect ration from the depot. Till now, only the head of the family was required to mark his biometric attendance.

By doing e-KYC of all the members of the family, it will be known how many members are there in the family at present. It will also be known whether this family is taking ration in any other state.

The government has come to know that people have obtained BPL cards fraudulently to avail the benefits of various government schemes. There are many people who have obtained BPL cards in other states as well.

He is also getting ration from there. To identify such people, the government has now made it mandatory for the card holder’s family to get e-KYC done.

However, people can also do KYC from their mobile phones while sitting at home. For this, you will have to download Mera e-KYC app and then eKYC will be done by showing your face on it.

Get e-KYC done like this

Beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act can be registered by doing face authentication on the e-KYC mobile application Mera e KYC. This authentication will be possible through OTP. All the members of the beneficiary family can avail the ration facility after registration through face.

The government has ordered that it is necessary for all the members of the family to get eKYC done, otherwise there may be a problem in getting ration. The ration card can also be cancelled in future. Therefore, the general public is appealed to get eKYC done soon.
