Heavy Rain Warning: Heavy rain in 10 states on 17,18,19,20,21,22 July, high alert issued

Heavy Rain Warning: The India Meteorological Department has predicted that many parts of the country may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next seven days.

The Meteorological Department has said that the monsoon may have a strong effect across the country this week. Very heavy rains may occur in many areas of East, North, Northeast, West, Central and South India. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains may occur in many areas including Bihar, Chhattisgarh, East Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Kerala and Mahe, Punjab, Uttarakhand in the next two days.

Low pressure area formed, possibility of heavy rain (Heavy Rain Alert)

IMD said that two low pressure areas are formed in two places of the country. One is formed in north-west Rajasthan and its surrounding areas and the other is formed in south-west Bihar and adjoining eastern Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, very heavy rains are expected in more than 10 states in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in eastern and central India during the next 2 days. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu during the next 6 to 7 days.

Weather in North-West India (Heavy Rain Warning)

  • According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh during July 16 to 22.
  • There may be heavy rains in Punjab and Haryana on 16, 17, 21 and 22 July.
  • Very heavy rains are likely over East Rajasthan, North Punjab, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh on 16th and 17th July.

Heavy rains in eastern and central India

  • According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in western Madhya Pradesh during July 16 to 18.
  • Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Bihar, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 16, 17, 20 and 21 July.

Rain Havoc in West India

  • 20 ms Heavy rain is likely at some places over Konkan and Goa during 22nd July.
  • On July 16, there may be heavy rains in the ghat areas of Central Maharashtra, Goa.

Rain with thunderstorms in Northeast India

  • According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to continue at many places in Northeast India during the next 7 days.
  • Heavy rainfall is likely at some places over Arunachal Pradesh during July 16 and July 19 to 22.
  • There is a possibility of heavy rains in Assam and Meghalaya during 19th to 22nd July.
  • Very heavy rainfall is likely over Mizoram and Tripura on 19th and 20th July.
