If you are planning to visit Kashmir, then there is good news for you. Jammu and Kashmir is going to get 2 Vande Bharat Express trains. Prime Minister Modi will flag off these trains on Friday, June 6.
Two trains will run between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar. With the running of Vande Bharat train, the travel time between these two cities will be reduced from 7 hours to 3 hours. This train was earlier scheduled to be inaugurated in April, but it was postponed due to bad weather and terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Passengers will get many modern facilities in this train.
The train will run even in -20 degree temperature
The Vande Bharat train running in Kashmir has been designed keeping in mind the cold weather. This train has facilities like heating system, automatic doors, anti-spall layers. Due to this, there will be no problem in running this train even in -20 degree temperature. This train will also pass through the world’s highest railway arch bridge and Anji Bridge built on Chenab river. Let us tell you that there are 36 tunnels in the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway link.
Route and timing of trains
The first train (26041) will leave from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station at 8.10 am and reach Banihal at 10 am. After this, this train will reach Srinagar at 11.10 am. Similarly, the second train (26403) will leave from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 2.55 pm. It will reach Srinagar at 6 pm via Banihal. On the return, train number 26402, which is Vande Bharat Jammu Tawi Express, will leave from Srinagar station at 2 pm. It will reach Banihal station at 3.10 pm and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station at 5.05 pm. Similarly, train number 26404, Srinagar Jammu Tawi Vande Bharat Express, will leave from Srinagar station at 8 am. This train will reach Banihal station at 9.02 am and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 11.05 am.
How many seats are vacant and what is the fare?
You can book tickets for these trains by visiting IRCTC’s website or app. The chair car fare of Vande Bharat Express (26041) from Katra to Srinagar is Rs 715. At the same time, the fare of the economy coach is Rs 1320. Similarly, in another train (26403), the fare of the chair car is Rs 660 and the fare of the economic coach is Rs 1270. For the tickets of June 7, till 9:30 pm on Thursday, 196 seats of chair car were vacant in train number (26041). At the same time, 310 seats of chair car were vacant in train number (26403) and 35 seats of economy class were vacant. Many seats were also seen vacant in the future dates.
