Monsoon IN UP: The rain continues in UP. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for 18 districts of the state on Wednesday.

After the monsoon became active again in the state, rain continues in most areas. On Tuesday, there was good rain in Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, Agra. The weather department says that there are signs of light to moderate rain in Bundelkhand and Vindhya region on Wednesday and in the Terai areas for the next three days from Thursday.

Ghazipur received the highest rainfall of 113 mm on Tuesday. Kannauj received 88 mm, Kushinagar 82 mm and Gorakhpur 72.3 mm. Prayagraj, Varanasi, Bijnor also received good rainfall. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in 18 districts of Bundelkhand, Vindhya and Agra region for Wednesday. There is a possibility of lightning with thunder in 40 other districts. Senior scientist Atul Kumar Singh said that there will be good rain in Bundelkhand and Vindhya region on Wednesday. Light to moderate rain will start in the Terai from Thursday.

Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Kanpur Rural, Kanpur Nagar, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas.

The capital witnessed good rain between noon and evening on Tuesday. Along with the rain, strong winds of 30 to 40 kmph blew here. The air became cool due to the rain along with the strong wind. By evening, the weather in Lucknow became pleasant. By evening, an average of 4.7 mm of rain was recorded here.

According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior scientist of the Regional Meteorological Center, there are chances of drizzle in Lucknow on Wednesday as well. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 33.4 degrees Celsius with an increase of 1.7 degrees. At the same time, the night temperature was recorded at 26.2 degrees Celsius with a drop of 1.7 degrees.
