IMD Alert Today: Meteorological Department warns of dust storm, hailstorm and heavy rain, advisory issued

IMD has predicted pleasant weather in Delhi over the weekend. The Meteorological Department said that Delhi is expected to remain partly cloudy on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 38 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius. Let us tell you that rain and strong winds in some parts of the city on Friday gave some relief from the heat. IMD has said that there is a possibility of rain accompanied by strong winds with a speed of 30-40 kmph in the next 24 hours.

Rain warning in many states

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of thunderstorms along with rain in many states. The Meteorological Department said that for the next two days, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh may receive rain along with winds with a speed of 70 kmph. There is also a possibility of snowfall in these states. Today, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are likely to receive rain and light snowfall along with strong winds. A dust storm warning has been issued in Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana and a strong wind warning has been issued in some districts of Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department said that the rainy season has ended in Bihar and a heat wave warning has been issued for many districts. There is a possibility of rain along with dust storms in some districts of western Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Rain in Northeastern states for next 5 days

The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain in Northeastern states for 4 to 5 days. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya may receive rain from 22 to 25 April, while Jharkhand and Odisha may receive rain. Here, there is a possibility of heat wave along with rain in the southern states of Kerala, Mahe, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of heavy rain along with thundershowers in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
