IMD Heavy Rainfall Update: Alert issued for next 5 days regarding heavy rains in these cities

IMD Heavy Rainfall Alert- Monsoon rains have worsened the situation in many parts across the country. While frequent incidents of landslides and cloud bursts have created hue and cry in the mountains, the danger of Yamuna river rising again in Delhi has still not averted.

Due to heavy rains in the country’s capital Delhi, the water level of Yamuna river is above the danger mark. The precautionary administration team has taken the people living on the banks of the river to a safe place. The government has advised the people to maintain peace and not to step out of the house. This situation is not only in Delhi but in all parts of the country, especially in North Indian areas.

Heavy on these states for five days

Meanwhile, the IMD has issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rain for the next five days in several states. In this, heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur over Konkan & Goa, Gujarat Madhya Maharashtra and Odisha. The Meteorological Department has predicted torrential rain and lightning in Odisha, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, East Rajasthan, West Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Coastal Karnataka, Andaman Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

How will be the weather in Delhi

The Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rain in the capital Delhi and NCR on Tuesday as well. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. Delhiites will get respite from the heat due to rain. The Meteorological Department has forecast that it may rain throughout the day in Delhi today. On the other hand, the water level of Yamuna river is above the danger mark. People living on the banks of the river have been kept in a safe place.

Heavy rains in Himachal-Uttarakhand as well

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand and Central India during the next 2 days. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places with widespread to widespread rainfall in Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad of Jammu-Kashmir on 18th. Heavy rain is likely over Himachal Pradesh, West Rajasthan and Uttarakhand on 18th, 20th and 21st. Heavy rains may occur over West Uttar Pradesh and West Rajasthan till July 21.

Alert till July 21 in the eastern part
The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for rain in the eastern states. Heavy rain very likely at many places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura and Assam on 18th, 20th and 21st July.

Five days of rain in Maharashtra
According to IMD, light to moderate rain is likely in almost all areas of Maharashtra. Torrential rains may occur in all places of the state except Marathwada for the next five days.

How will the weather be in the south
IMD says that lightning is likely over Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh till July 21.
