IMD issued alert, Warning of extremely heavy rain, thunderstorms and lightning on 16,17,18,19,20 and 21 June

Heavy Rain Alert: Monsoon is in full swing. Heavy rains are falling in many parts of the country. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be more rain in the coming days.

IMD has predicted that heavy to very heavy rains may occur in many areas for the next 72 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, today (16 June Heavy Rain), conditions are favorable for the advance of monsoon in some parts of Gujarat, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and some more parts of Odisha.

The Meteorological Department has also forecast that during the next 3 days, conditions are favorable for the advance of southwest monsoon in some parts of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh. By June 16, heavy to very heavy rains with extremely heavy rains may occur at many places in South Peninsular India and Konkan and Goa.

Strong winds and rain with thunderstorms in Northeast India

The Meteorological Department has predicted that during the next 7 days, there may be thunderstorms and strong winds along with rain at many places in Northeast India. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of strong winds at a speed of 30 to 50 km per hour. Today i.e. on June 16, there may be heavy rain at different places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Apart from this, very heavy rain may occur in Assam and Meghalaya during June 16 to 21. At the same time, there is a possibility of next very heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during June 17 to 21.

Thunderstorm likely in northwest India

According to the IMD, light to moderate rain may occur at some places in North-West India during June 16 to 21. Along with this, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds at the speed of 40 to 50 kmph. Thunderstorms and winds at the speed of 50 to 60 kmph to 70 kmph are possible in Rajasthan during June 16 to 17. Very heavy rains are expected in Haryana on June 16 and 21, Western Uttar Pradesh during June 18 to 21, Eastern Rajasthan on June 16, 20 and 21, Eastern Uttar Pradesh during June 18 to 21, Western Rajasthan on June 16, Himachal Pradesh on June 20 and 21 and Uttarakhand during June 16 to 21.

Heavy rains in South Peninsular India

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on June 16. Apart from this, there may be rain at many places in Telangana during June 15 to 19. During this time, strong winds with a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour can also blow along with thunder. There is a possibility of rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on June 17, in Kerala and Mahe on 18 and 19, in Lakshadweep, Telangana on 15. Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Karnataka on 16 and 18. Very heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on June 16. Extremely heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Kerala and Mahe, Karnataka during June 16 to 17.

Strong winds with thunderstorms in eastern and central India

There is a possibility of rain in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh during 16 to 19 June. Light to moderate rain is likely at many places with thunderstorms in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha during 16 to 20 June. During this period, lightning and strong winds with a speed of 40 to 50 kmph are likely. Thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in Western Madhya Pradesh on 16 June, Eastern Madhya Pradesh during 16 to 19 June, Chhattisgarh, Bihar on 16 June. Heavy rain is likely in Western Madhya Pradesh on 20 and 21 June, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during 16 to 20 June, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar during 16-21 June and Jharkhand, Odisha during 16 to 20 June.
