IMD Rainfall Alert: IMD issued a warning regarding heavy rains in these states for the next 4 days, check details

It is scorching heat in all the states including UP-Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning for three days in some states including UP, Rajasthan, MP.

However, there is also an alert for heavy rains for 4 days in the North Eastern states. The Meteorological Department has told that in the next 48 hours, Southwest Monsoon will move further towards Bay of Bengal, South Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Talking about Northeast India, there will be heavy rains for the next 4 days. There is an alert of heavy rains in Assam, Meghalaya from 18 to 22 May. Apart from this, heavy rains are going to occur over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on May 18 and 19. Heavy to very heavy rain will occur over Assam and Meghalaya on May 18. Rains will continue in East India for 4 days. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim are likely to receive heavy rains on May 18.

Talking about the weather of North West India, Western Himalayan region will see light to moderate rains. There is an alert for hailstorm in Uttarakhand today. There is a possibility of dust storm in Uttar Pradesh today and in Rajasthan on May 22.

On the other hand, talking about heatwave, a heatwave warning has been issued in southern UP, western Rajasthan and northern Madhya Pradesh between May 20-22. In the states of Central India, there is an alert of light to moderate rain in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh between May 18 and 22. There is a possibility of rain for 4 days in many states of South India.

Talking about the temperature of the previous day, the maximum temperature between 40-44 degree Celsius has been recorded in the states of North West, Central, East and North India. Heatwave conditions were observed over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. There is going to be an increase of two to three degree Celsius in the maximum temperature in Maharashtra for the next 4 days. For the next 48 hours, there will not be any major change in the temperature of Northwest and Central India. After this it can increase by two to four degrees Celsius.
