Private airline IndiGo has announced the launch of its first non-stop flight from Mumbai to Amsterdam. This flight service will start from July 2, 2025. According to the information given by the company, IndiGo flights will be available three times a week on this route.
IndiGo also announced that hot food and beverages will be served to all passengers on this route. Let us tell you that the company is expanding in Europe through Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

What did the company official say
IndiGo Chief Executive Officer Peter Elbers said- I am thrilled to launch IndiGo flights to Amsterdam. We are making it easier for passengers traveling to Europe for leisure, business and education. The Netherlands and India share a strong and thriving bilateral relationship.
Currently, 16 airlines operate between India and Europe, which is likely to reduce to 18 in 2024. Air India leads the market with a 30.2 percent share. It is followed by Lufthansa (14.3 percent) and British Airways (12.4 percent). IndiGo is fourth with an 8.8 percent share.
Multiple aircraft orders
IndiGo, which currently operates a fleet of over 400 aircraft, has over 900 aircraft on order. Recently, IndiGo has entered into a wet lease agreement with Norse Atlantic Airways for Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which will be deployed for long-haul operations until its own 30 Airbus A350-900 aircraft arrive in 2027.
