Liquor Sale System to Change from September 1: All You Need to Know About the New Policy

Liquor Shop: The new excise policy will be implemented in Jharkhand from September 1, after which the operation of liquor shops in the state will go into private hands. The excise department has set a deadline for allocating shops to private liquor traders. According to this, the process of online lottery application will be completed from 26 July to 8 August.

The license will be issued by August 20

The results of the e-lottery will be published on August 12. After this, licenses will be issued to retail product shops by August 20. During this time, warehouses of Jharkhand State Beverage Corporation Limited will be opened in all the districts of the state and workers will be posted. By August 28, the licenses of retail shops will be linked to the JSBCL wallet and all retail product shops will be made functional by September 1.

For now JSBCL will operate the liquor shops

With the implementation of the new product policy, all the orders issued earlier regarding retail liquor sales will be cancelled. It is known that the new product policy in the state was approved by the cabinet in May itself. The placement agency was given an extension for retail liquor sales till June 30. Now after the audit of the shops, retail liquor shops will be operated under the supervision of JSBCL till the new product policy is implemented.
