Delhi Liquor Shop: Liquor shops will remain closed in Delhi on the day of Chhath Puja. Delhi Excise Department has given information in this regard.

It has been decided to close liquor shops on 19th November. Let us tell you that Congress had already made a demand in this regard. The Excise Commissioner of Delhi informed through a notice that November 19 has been declared a dry day through Section 52 of the Liquor Policy. This order of the government will be effective on all licensed liquor shops.

Let us tell you that a lot of politics was also going on in this matter. Delhi Pradesh Congress President Arvinder Singh Lovely had said that it was incomprehensible why the Delhi government did not take the decision not to close liquor shops on November 19.

The Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi should have apologized to the people of Purvanchal. Are the people of Purvanchal just like a vote bank for Aam Aadmi Party? If the government does not take care of the religious sentiments and beliefs of the people, then who will?

About 900 ghats have been built in Delhi for Chhath Puja. Delhi government says that special arrangements have been made to ensure that no devotee faces any kind of problem on the festival of public faith. Due to the large number of people from Bihar and Purvanchalis in Delhi, Chhath Puja also becomes political. Recently, BJP and Congress had alleged that on one hand the Aam Aadmi Party government talks about cleaning the Yamuna river. But people are forced to worship in chemical water.
