UP excise officials have given this information. According to officials, the purpose of this decision of the government is to increase the retail sale of low-alcohol drinks and make it easier for small businessmen to enter the business.
How much will the FL-4D license cost for selling liquor in a mall
Under this new project of the government, the state’s Excise Department has started accepting applications for FL-4D license. Officials said that for now, this project will be started on a pilot basis in Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad adjacent to Delhi, besides Agra and Lucknow. The annual cost of the FL-4D license required to sell low-alcohol drinks in multiplex malls has been fixed at Rs 6 lakh. Let us tell you that earlier, only FL-4C license was available to sell liquor in UP, whose annual cost was Rs 25 lakh. With the FL-4C license, the sale of premium liquor was allowed in malls.
There will be a complete ban on selling and drinking alcohol in cinema halls
Gautam Buddha Nagar district excise officer Subodh Kumar said that the sale of low-alcohol drinks will start in multiplex malls, but there will be a strict ban on the sale or consumption of any type of alcohol inside the cinema hall. These shops will open inside the mall, but they cannot be opened inside the cinema hall. He said that a mall in Noida Sector 43 had already applied for the FL-4D license. Apart from this, applications have also been filed from two other places.
