Know what is special about Oman Golden Visa

  1. Oman’s Golden Visa offers investors 5 or 10-year renewable residence permits, allowing them, their spouses, children under the age of 25, and dependent parents to live, work, and study in Oman without the need for local sponsorship.
  2. Investors can qualify through the purchase of real estate, ownership of a company, or capital investment in key sectors such as real estate, IT, renewable energy, and tourism. Visa holders enjoy full business ownership rights.
  3. The programme provides tax exemptions, property ownership rights in freehold areas, access to quality healthcare and education, and establishes Oman as a stable, business-friendly destination in line with its economic diversification Vision 2040 plan.

Investors will get long term residence permit

The Golden Visa programme grants investors a long-term residence permit, reflecting Oman’s strategy to establish itself as a global investment hub. Mubarak bin Mohammed Al Dohani, Director General of Planning at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, highlighted the programme’s role in promoting a sustainable business environment by combining regulatory reforms with continued support for local firms.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion said the programme will be launched alongside the “Al Majida Companies” initiative, designed to support high-performing Omani firms, and a new service that will enable the electronic transfer of commercial registrations through the “Oman Business” platform.

Digital transformation will begin in business

Alongside the visa programme, Oman will launch a streamlined digital platform for the electronic transfer of commercial registrations, which will be a significant step towards a complete digital business ecosystem.

The system aims to save time and reduce operational costs for businesses, as well as promote transparency and easier business administration. The inaugural ceremony in Salalah will include the signing of cooperation agreements with leading institutions such as Sultan Qaboos University, the German University of Technology, the Oman Energy Association and Ebena.

These collaborations are designed to harness academic expertise and private sector capabilities to foster innovation and growth in Oman’s manufacturing industry. Oman’s Golden Visa program and digital trade reforms reflect a concerted effort to attract investment, promote economic diversification, and modernize regulatory frameworks.

By facilitating long-term residency for investors and reducing red tape through digital tools, Oman aims to build a strong, innovative business environment that benefits both local companies and international investors.
