PF Interest: 8.25% interest on EPF came in the accounts of 97% people? Check the balance

PF Interest: If you are a salaried employee and have an Employees’ Provident Fund Account (EPF Account), then there is good news for you. In fact, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), which manages your PF, has now deposited the 8.25 percent interest fixed for 2024-25 in 96.51 percent of the accounts. This means that the interest amount may have also come to your account.

According to the Labour Ministry, interest worth around Rs 4000 crore has been transferred to EPF accounts so far. The money will reach the remaining accounts this week. Now the question is how to know whether you have received interest or not? You can check your PF balance by following these simple steps:

1. Check EPF balance via SMS

From the registered mobile number, type: EPFOHO UAN HIN
(here HIN stands for language – HIN for Hindi, ENG for English)
send this SMS to 7738299899. In a few seconds you will get the balance details through SMS.

2. Check EPF balance through missed call

  • Give a missed call from your registered mobile number: 9966044425
  • You will get the balance details in SMS within a few seconds.

3. Check EPF balance from UMANG App

  • Login to the UMANG app.
  • Select EPFO services.
  • Click on the View Passbook option.
  • Login with UAN and OTP to check interest and balance.

4. Check EPF balance from EPFO website

  • Visit the website: https://www.epfindia.gov.in .
  • Go to Services and select For Employees.
  • Then click on Member Passbook.
  • Login with UAN, password and captcha to view interest and balance.
