What To Do If Police Denied To Register FIR: Police force has been formed for the safety of citizens in India. Police force is present in every state of the country. If any kind of incident happens with anyone, then after that one has to go to the police and register an FIR. It has been seen many times that the police turn back a victim from the police station by procrastinating.

And the police does not register an FIR for that. If the police refuse to register an FIR on your complaint at the police station, then do not panic. The government has given you many rights as a citizen. Which you can use. Let us tell you what you can do if the police refuse to register your FIR.

Complain to higher authorities

If something has happened to you and you go to the police to register an FIR. But the police refuses to register your FIR. Then you should not sit quiet. You can lodge a complaint about this. So you can lodge a complaint about this with the seniors of the police.

For this, you can make a written complaint to the Superintendent of Police (SP), Deputy Inspector General (DIG) or Inspector General (IG). After this, action will be taken against that police officer. And your FIR will also be registered.

You can also approach magistrate and court

But it is often seen that the higher officials also support the departmental officials. And they also neither take action against those police officers. Nor do they register your FIR. In such a situation, you can go to the judicial magistrate and register a complaint. You can give a private complaint to the magistrate.

After this, the magistrate can order the officers to register an FIR. But if no order is given by the magistrate and no action is taken by the police, then you can approach the High Court. The High Court can order to register an FIR.
