Rain Alert: Alert issued for rain and strong storm from 22 to 24 May, hailstorm also expected

The weather has suddenly changed in Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain and dust storm with thunder for the next five days. Along with this, warning has also been issued of hailstorm and lightning in many districts, due to which people have been advised to remain alert.

May 22: Possibility of rain and hailstorm in some areas

Districts with possibility of thunder and lightning: Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Ambedkar Nagar, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and their adjoining areas are likely to experience thunder and lightning.

23 May: There will be rain in entire Uttar Pradesh

Rain is expected across Uttar Pradesh on May 23. These districts are particularly likely to receive rain: Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkarnagar, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Agra, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and adjoining areas.

On May 21, bad weather took the lives of 19 people

In the last 24 hours i.e. on 21st May, heavy rains and stormy winds have caused heavy destruction in many parts of North India including UP. 19 people have lost their lives while many have been injured due to bad weather in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
