Retirement Age Hike: The state government has increased the retirement age of employees by 2 years. For this, the proposal has been approved in the cabinet meeting. With the approval of the proposal, employees will now get the opportunity to avail service benefits till the age of 60 years.
Taking an important decision for the employees working in the field of language and literature, the proposal to increase the retirement age of the employees of the Language Institute from 58 to 60 years has been approved.

This decision was given in the cabinet meeting chaired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In an official statement issued by the government on Thursday, it was said that this decision is in line with other autonomous institutions of the state.
Where the retirement age system of 60 years is already applicable. State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna reacted to this and said that other autonomous institutions coming under this department have already been implemented with 60 years of retirement age. This will establish equality among the employees working in bodies of similar nature.
This decision has been taken after re-reviewing the previous order issued by the state government in 2013. With its implementation, the officials and academicians of the Bhasha Sansthan will get the benefit of 2 years of additional service. This will enable them to contribute more to the local languages, folk literature and research activities of the state. This order will be applicable to the employees of Uttar Pradesh Bhasha Sansthan.
