National Desk: The pace of monsoon in North India has not stopped. Heavy rains have affected life in Uttarakhand, Himachal and South Kerala to a great extent. In view of the continuous heavy rainfall, the governments of these states have decided to keep schools and Anganwadi centers closed as a precautionary measure.

Red alert in Uttarakhand, all schools closed today

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Dehradun has issued a ‘red alert’ for heavy rain on June 30. After this, the State Disaster Management Department has issued an order and decided to keep all government, private and non-government schools (classes 1 to 12) and Anganwadi centers in the state closed for a day. Uttarakhand Government Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman clarified that this step has been taken from the point of view of safety of students and disaster prevention.

Schools closed in 4 districts of Himachal Pradesh

The situation in Himachal Pradesh is no less. It has been raining continuously in the state for the last 24 hours, due to which there have been reports of landslides and road blockages. Due to the ‘red alert’ issued by IMD, it has been decided to close schools in four districts. The district administration has warned that the situation may worsen for the next few days.

Situation is also worrying in Kerala.

Three days ago, schools were closed in 8 districts of Kerala. The Meteorological Department had warned that there is a possibility of extremely heavy rains with strong winds. In view of this, the state government there had declared a holiday in schools.

Suggestion for students and parents –

Check the website of the local administration or school before leaving home.

– Keep an eye on every weather update.

– Prevent children from going out in the rain and remain alert.

At this time, rain is becoming a crisis instead of relief in some parts of the country. The administration has taken a timely decision by giving priority to the safety of children. If you are also from these areas, then share the information and alert others.
