School Closed: The Odisha government has declared a holiday in all schools in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on June 20 in view of the scheduled visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This information has been given by an official. The School and Mass Education Department announced this through an official notification on Wednesday. Modi will reach Bhubaneswar on June 20 in the afternoon and will participate in a program organized on the occasion of the first anniversary of the BJP government in the state.
Holidays required in schools
The letter said that a holiday in schools is necessary as there may be a rush in both the cities in view of the Prime Minister’s visit. The official said that after arriving at Biju Patnaik International Airport here at around 3.30 pm, Modi is scheduled to hold a roadshow and participate in the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ to reach Janata Maidan, the venue of the first anniversary celebrations of the state government.
PM Modi will address the public meeting
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to address a public meeting at 4.30 pm. Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal said central and state ministers, MLAs and MPs, party workers from all 147 assembly constituencies will participate in the anniversary celebrations. Samal said the Prime Minister will unveil the state’s ‘Vision Document for 2036’ and launch various projects.
