Although there has been a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, tension still persists in the border districts of Punjab. Keeping this in mind, special orders have been issued by the Deputy Commissioners of the border districts.
The DC of Gurdaspur district has ordered that 4 schools in the villages of the border areas will be closed till May 20. These schools are Government Primary School Jaura, Government Primary School Shakri, Government Primary School Rampur, Government Primary School Thakarpur. According to the order issued by the Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur, online classes will be conducted in these schools till May 20.
The DC himself will take the next decision on when classes will resume in these schools and when children will be called to school.
