School holidays extended, timings changed from class 9 to 12, know details

Noida School Closed: In view of the increasing cold in Noida, the district administration has issued an order to close schools up to class 8th till January 16.

Actually, in view of the severe cold and fog, all schools from nursery to class 8 in Noida-Greater Noida will remain closed till January 16. Many areas of North India are in the grip of severe cold, hence schools will remain closed in Noida and Greater Noida. The Basic Education Department in Gautam Buddha Nagar has issued an order in this regard.

Change in timings from class 9 to 12

According to an official order, due to cold and fog, educational activities up to class eight in all schools in Noida and Greater Noida have been temporarily suspended till January 16. Till January 20, the timings of classes 9 to 12 have also been changed and will be from 10 am to 3 pm. This decision has been given by Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma. In view of the dense fog and severe cold, all schools from classes nursery to eighth have been instructed to remain closed till January 16.

Schools up to class five in Punjab will remain closed till January 20.

In view of the severe cold, the Punjab government on Sunday announced holidays till January 20 for all primary classes in government, aided, recognized and private schools. School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that this decision has been taken as per the instructions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to ensure the safety of children. He said that all the middle, high and senior secondary schools of the state will open regularly from 10 am to 3 pm from January 15. The timing of schools with two shifts will be from 9 am to 4 pm.
