Employees Leave Rules: Bihar government has implemented a new rule regarding leave for the state government employees. Now it will be mandatory for all employees to apply for leave at least 7 days in advance. This rule will apply to about 6 lakh government employees, which will improve administrative work and the decision making process will be able to run more smoothly.

Earlier, employees used to apply only two-three days before the leave, which caused difficulty to the officials in approving and managing other tasks. To solve this problem, the government has implemented this new guideline.

key points:

The government has directed all departments, divisional commissioners and district magistrates to strictly follow this rule.

When leave applications were received late, there was delay in its approval and administrative process.

Now by applying 7 days in advance, leave management will be more effective and government work will not be disrupted.

The Bihar government has approved a 3 percent increase in dearness allowance (DA) for its employees and pensioners. This important decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Under this, the dearness allowance given to employees and pensioners will increase from 50 percent to 53 percent, which will provide financial relief to lakhs of government employees and pensioners. This increase will be effective from July 1, 2024.

The effect of increase in dearness allowance

Till now the state government employees and pensioners were getting 50 percent dearness allowance, but after this new decision it will increase to 53 percent. This means that the salary of government employees and pensioners will increase by 3 percent. This decision has been taken by the state government with the aim of reducing the impact of inflation and improving the lifestyle of the employees. Mainly, regular employees of the state, pensioners and all those working in government departments will benefit from this increase. This step will help in improving the financial health of the state government employees as well as increasing their purchasing power.

Increased percentage of DA will be effective from July 1, 2024

This increase will be effective from July 1, 2024. This means that from the month of July, the new salary and pension will start increasing by 3 percent in the account of employees and pensioners. This decision is expected to improve the standard of living of lakhs of employees and pensioners.

Chief Minister Home Purchase Scheme

Another important scheme was approved in this meeting, which has been called “Chief Minister Home Purchase Scheme”. Under this scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to each landless family to purchase their land. This scheme is especially for those families who do not currently own land and who do not have any ownership of agricultural or residential land. This scheme will provide one-time financial assistance to these landless families, under which they will be able to buy their land. The aim of this initiative is to make the landless families of the state self-reliant and improve their socio-economic conditions.

Approval for maintenance and upgradation of rural roads

In the cabinet meeting, the state government has also taken important decisions regarding road construction and maintenance in rural areas. A new scheme has been approved for those rural roads whose maintenance and upgradation contract has expired after construction by the contractors. This step has been taken to improve the condition of road network in rural areas and to further improve rural life.

Development of tourist facilities at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi district

Apart from this, a major decision was also taken for the development of tourist facilities and infrastructure near the Janaki temple located at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi district in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. 50.50 acres of land will be acquired under this project, and an approval of Rs 120.58 crore has been provided for this. The project will create modern facilities for tourists in the area, which will boost tourism and also benefit the local economy. Along with this, local people will also get new employment opportunities. This step is in line with the state government’s policy to promote tourism.

These decisions taken by the Bihar government have brought a relief to the employees and pensioners of the state. The increase of 3 percent in dearness allowance will improve the financial condition of lakhs of employees. At the same time, the Chief Minister’s Grihasthal Purchase Scheme is helping landless families to buy land, which will strengthen their socio-economic condition.

A plan has also been made for the maintenance and upgradation of rural roads, which will improve rural life. Apart from this, the development of tourism facilities at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi district will not only boost tourism but will also improve the local economy. Overall, all these decisions are important steps taken by the Bihar government for the welfare of the citizens of the state, which will contribute to the social and economic development of the state.

7th Pay Commission: Bihar government has given a gift to the people of its state. According to the report on November 22, the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners by 4 percent.

This decision has been taken by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the cabinet meeting. Under the 7th Pay Commission, government employees in the state are currently getting 42 percent DA. Now after increasing DA by 4 percent, dearness allowance will increase to 46 percent.

4.5 lakh employees of Bihar will benefit

According to media reports, it will be given along with the salary coming in DA. Also, employees will get four months DA arrears. The report states that the increase in DA will be effective from July 1, 2023. This means that the employee will also get period arrears between July and October. The decision to increase DA will benefit about 4.5 lakh state government employees in Bihar and the DR increase will benefit about 6 lakh pensioners of the state.

This state has increased DA

Apart from Bihar government, many state governments had also increased DA along with DR for pensioners. This is in line with the Centre’s decision to increase DA for central government employees by 4 percent in October. After the central government increased DA, other states of the country are also increasing DA.

The count of states increasing DA includes the states and union territories of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The central government and most of the states have increased dearness allowance and dearness relief during the period of Dussehra and Diwali. DA is given in the salaries of government employees to cope with inflation.
