Bank FD Rate Cut: Bank of Baroda reduced interest on special FD! check new interest

Bank of Baroda New FD Scheme : Bank of Baroda, included in the list of big government banks of the country, recently launched a new fixed deposit scheme. BOB started FD in the name of bob Square Drive Deposit Scheme on 7 April.

The bank was offering interest at the rate of 7.15 percent per annum on this, but now the bank has reduced the interest on this FD. This scheme is for a period of 444 days, which was similar to the Amrit Vrishti scheme of SBI Bank. SBI’s special scheme is for 444 days. These new rates have come into effect from May 5, 2025.

Interest Rate in BOB Square Drive Deposit Scheme

General citizens were being offered 7.15% annual interest, which has been reduced to 7.10%. Senior citizens were being offered 7.65% annual interest, which has been reduced to 7.60%. Apart from this, super senior citizens are being given 7.70% interest instead of 7.75% annual interest. The bank has reduced the interest on this FD by 0.05%.

Interest on BOB FD

7 days to 14 days – 4.00% for general public; 4.50% for senior citizens
15 days to 45 days – 4.00% for general public; 4.50% for senior citizens
46 days to 90 days – 5.50 per cent for general public; 6 per cent for senior citizens
91 days to 180 days – 5.60 per cent for general public; 6.10 per cent for senior citizens
181 days to 210 days – 5.75 per cent for general public; 6.25 per cent for senior citizens
211 days to 270 days – 6.25 per cent for general public; 6.75 per cent for senior citizens
271 days and above and less than 1 year – 6.50 per cent for general public; 7 per cent for senior citizens
1 year – 6.80 percent for general public; 7.30 percent for senior citizens
More than 1 year and less than 400 days – 6.80 per cent for general public; 7.40 per cent for senior citizens
Above 400 days and upto 2 years – 6.80 per cent for general public; 7.40 per cent for senior citizens
Above 2 years and upto 3 years – 7.00% for general public; 7.50% for senior citizens
Above 3 years and upto 5 years – 6.80% for general public; 7.30% for senior citizens
Above 5 years to 10 years – 6.50% for general public; 7.50% for senior citizens
Above 10 years (Court Order Scheme) – 6.25 per cent for general public; 6.75 per cent for senior citizens
444 days – (Square Drive Deposit Scheme) – 7.10 percent for general public; 7.60 percent for senior citizens

The country’s two major government banks are offering 444-day FDs. Bank of Baroda has launched a new fixed deposit scheme. The name of this new FD is BoB Square Drive Deposit Scheme. Interest rate in BOB Square Drive Deposit Scheme

Now Bank of Baroda has launched an FD in the name of BOB Square Drive Deposit Scheme. In this scheme of Bank of Baroda, you can invest a maximum of less than Rs 3 crore.

Let us tell you that here ordinary citizens will get 7.15% interest per year, senior citizens will get 7.65% interest per year and super senior citizens will get 7.75% interest per year.

SBI’s Amrit Vrishti Scheme – 444-day scheme

State Bank of India (SBI) launched Amrit Vrishti FD last year. The bank has also reduced the interest rate on its special FD Amrit Vrishti by 0.20 percent. SBI had discontinued its existing special FD Amrit Kalash in early April. Now the interest rate on the 444-day special FD that runs with it has also been reduced. These new rates are effective from April 15, 2025.

SBI’s Amrit Vrishti FD

Amrit Vrishti FD scheme is a special FD scheme of 444 days. Till now, 7.25% interest was being given to general customers, 7.75% interest to senior citizens and 7.85% annual interest to super senior citizens above 80 years of age. Now from April 15, 2025, general customers will get 7.05% interest on this FD, 7.55% interest to senior citizens and 7.65% annual interest to super senior citizens above 80 years of age. SBI has reduced the interest on this FD by 0.20 percent.

Here, general customers will get 7.05% interest, senior citizens will get 7.55%, and super senior citizens above 80 years of age will get 7.65% annual interest.

What is SBI’s Amrit Vrishti Scheme?

This is a term deposit scheme, which has a tenure of 444 days. That is, the money will be invested in it for 444 days. Domestic and NRI customers can take advantage of this scheme.

How to invest?

Customers can invest through SBI branches, YONO SBI and YONO Lite mobile apps or internet banking. This plan will be automatically activated if the tenure of 444 days is selected.
