<p data-path-to-node="10"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Now a major weather warning is here. Specifically, the local weather desk issued new alerts. This extreme summer heat will stay for a week. Therefore, millions of people face severe heat risks now.</span></p>
<p data-path-to-node="11"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Meanwhile, the high heat hits North India hard. Also, parts of East India face the same threat. For this reason, the hot weather will last six to seven days. Furthermore, experts say Delhi winds are very dry.</span></p>

<h2 data-path-to-node="19"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The Major Alerts and Covered States</span></h2>
<p data-path-to-node="20"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">First, the weather desk issued a wide Orange Alert. Specifically, this alert stays active for seven days. For example, it covers Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana. Additionally, it covers Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.</span></p>
<p data-path-to-node="21"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Next, a severe Red Alert is also active. For instance, this top alert lasts for three days. Consequently, it covers East Uttar Pradesh and East Madhya Pradesh. Pockets of Vidarbha face this high risk too.</span></p>
<h2 data-path-to-node="22"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The Hottest Place in the Country</span></h2>
<p data-path-to-node="23"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Meanwhile, the town of Banda is the hottest spot. Truly, Banda is a key district in Uttar Pradesh. For example, the mercury there hit a high of 48.2°C on Thursday. Therefore, this marks three straight days of record heat.</span></p>
<p data-path-to-node="24"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Consequently, local folk tried to stay cool near road stalls. Many drank fresh juice and sweet water. However, one resident blamed the heat on fewer trees. He also noted that local mining hurts the land.</span></p>
<h2 data-path-to-node="25"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Expected Rain in the Coming Days</span></h2>
<p data-path-to-node="26"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Fortunately, some relief might arrive soon. Specifically, a new western disturbance is moving near the hills. This system affects northern India right now.</span></p>
<p data-path-to-node="27"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Therefore, scattered rain is likely in a few areas. For example, clouds may bring showers to Jammu and Punjab. Furthermore, Haryana, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh could see rain too. Still, experts do not know how strong the rain will be.</span></p>
<h2 data-path-to-node="28"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Record Night Heat in Delhi</span></h2>
<p data-path-to-node="29"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">However, the capital city faces a rough patch. For instance, Delhi just logged its warmest May night in 14 years. Specifically, the low mark settled at a high 31.9°C on Thursday.</span></p>
<p data-path-to-node="30"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Consequently, this high night heat causes major body stress. Also, air quality stayed in the poor zone. This is because hot desert winds keep the city warm after dark.</span></p>
<h2 data-path-to-node="31"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Key Health and Hydration Tips</span></h2>
<p data-path-to-node="32"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Therefore, health officials urge people to be safe. For example, do not go out in direct sun. Specifically, stay inside between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. These peak hours pose the highest risk for heat stroke.</span></p>
<p data-path-to-node="33"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Finally, the Ayush Ministry shared key hydration rules. For instance, drink plenty of water all day. Do not wait until you feel dry. Thus, thirst is a poor sign of true water loss during a heatwave..<img decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-51959" src="https://www.rightsofemployees.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PEN-62.png" alt="IMD Heatwave Alert" width="15" height="15" srcset="https://www.rightsofemployees.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PEN-62.png 200w, https://www.rightsofemployees.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/PEN-62-150x150.png 150w" sizes="(max-width: 15px) 100vw, 15px" /></span></p>
