Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was launched in March 2020. Under this, about 80 crore beneficiaries included in the National Food Security Act (NFSA) are being given 5 kg of food grains per person per month free of cost. They are given free ration in addition to the subsidized food grains distributed through ration shops. This had helped the poor families a lot during the lockdown implemented due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

The duration of the scheme has been extended several times and now it is valid till 30 September. • Now the list of all Gram Panchayats will appear on the screen. To see whose name has appeared in the new list of ration card, you have to search the name of your panchayat and select it.
• After selecting the name of the Gram Panchayat, the name of the ration shopkeeper and the type of ration card will appear. 
•  Select the ration card you want to do with your name in the new list.
• The complete list of the ration card that you will select under your Gram Panchayat will be visible in front of the screen. 
• Now ration card id, ration card holder name, father/husband name will appear. Here you can check whose name is appearing in the new list of ration card.
