MP Weather: Sudden changes in the weather are being seen in Madhya Pradesh these days, due to which people are facing the uncertain nature of the weather. While it is raining at some places, other places are facing intense heat.

At present, the temperature has dropped in many parts of the state and cold is being felt, while at many places the day temperature has reached 40 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is currently active over northern Pakistan and Jammu. This disturbance is formed in the form of a cyclone in the upper part of the air, due to which moist winds are coming. Due to its effect, rain is expected in some parts of Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, due to the formation of a trough near Chhattisgarh, moisture will continue to come from the Bay of Bengal, due to which Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol and surrounding districts may receive rain for the next two-three days.

Rain Alert in these districts

There is a possibility of change in weather between 18 and 20 March. On March 18, Indore, Ujjain and Bhopal divisions may be cloudy with drizzle at some places. On March 19, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Sagar and Shahdol divisions are expected to receive rain along with thunderstorms and lightning, where wind speed can be 40 to 50 kmph. On March 20, an orange alert has been issued for thunderstorms and lightning in Damoh, Katni, Umaria and Shahdol. Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued in many other districts, where rain and thunderstorms can be experienced.

Thunderstorm and lightning warning

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of thunderstorm and storm in many districts today i.e. on March 17. These include districts like Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, Chhatarpur and Maihar. This situation may continue especially between March 18 and 20, so people here should remain alert.

Temperature fluctuations continue

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in western and eastern Madhya Pradesh on March 19 and 20, which will cause a drop in temperature in the state. The possibility of rain has also increased due to an active cyclonic circulation system over Rajasthan. However, the temperature in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain and Jabalpur is expected to increase by 1 to 3 degrees compared to normal.

What will the weather be like in the coming days?

According to the weather department’s forecast, the temperature will drop due to rain in the coming days and people may get some relief. However, the danger of thunderstorms, lightning and thunderstorms will also remain, so people of Madhya Pradesh can remain alert and face the weather.

Director (Public Health) Dr Ravi Prakash Mathur said that despite the scorching heat, the situation in the state is completely under control as the Medical and Health Department had started the necessary preparations since March itself. Mathur said, “So far five deaths have occurred in the state due to heat wave.”
