According to the information received, from today onwards all the arrival flights will operate from the new terminal, while the departure flights will depart from the old terminal for now. Gradually all the flights will be shifted to the new terminal.

The new terminal will now provide passengers with more convenience in check-in and security checks than before. A total of 12 boarding gates, 5 luggage belts, 30 check-in counters and a high-tech CCTV camera system have been installed in it. Along with this, waiting lounge, rest area, food court and many other modern facilities have also been provided for the comfort of the passengers.

In the new schedule also, this is the first flight to go from Patna to Delhi. The last flight from Patna will be of Air India Express from January 15.

There are 13 flights from Patna to Delhi in the new list. The first flight to Delhi is of Air India at 10.35 am and the flight is of Indigo at 9.20 pm. There are 6 flights from Patna to Bangalore, 5 to Hyderabad, 3 to Mumbai, 2 each to Ahmedabad and Kolkata, and 1 each to Ranchi, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Pune, Deoghar, and Chennai.

AAI had given the proposal in 2016

AAI had proposed to develop a civil airport in Bihta in 2016. The Indian Air Force had given its consent for commercial flight operations from Bihta in April 2016.

The airport project includes construction of an apron capable of accommodating 10 parking bays suitable for Airbus A-321/320 and Boeing B-737 type aircraft as well as two link taxiways.
