Let us tell you that despite the initial relief due to rain, an increase in pollution levels was seen again in Delhi on Monday. Smoke hung over the city and according to Swiss air quality monitoring company IQAir, Delhi was the most polluted city globally that day. Pollution increased after Diwali celebrations, with residents violating the ban on firecrackers.

On Sunday, Diwali, Delhi’s AQI recorded its best level in eight years, with its 24-hour average at 218 at 4 pm. But the respite was short-lived as pollution levels increased sharply amid low temperatures due to bursting of firecrackers late Sunday night. On Monday, the AQI rose to 358 by 4 pm, indicating ‘very poor’ air quality. In particular, the concentration of PM 2.5, a fine particle that causes respiratory problems, is six to seven times higher than the safe limit in some areas.

The post Delhi Parking Fees: You will have to pay double for parking in these areas of Delhi, Know why? first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

New Delhi: Government employees working in Delhi can soon get work from home. Actually, the AQI i.e. air quality in Delhi remains in the severe category. Due to which people are facing many problems related to breathing. In view of this, amidst increasing pollution in Delhi-NCR, the central and state governments may decide to allow their employees to work from home.

Government in action mode on pollution

In order to check pollution, the Delhi government had already banned construction works. But now government construction works have also been included in this. Construction work has been banned in various government projects like highways, flyovers, power transmission and pipelines in the Delhi-National Capital Region.

The government ordered the closure of the industries

The air quality body ordered the closure of all industries in the NCR that are not operating on clean fuel. Apart from this, the entry of petrol-powered trucks has also been banned in Delhi. The central body has banned the entry of trucks other than electric and CNG ones in Delhi. However, trucks carrying essential commodities have been exempted.

Government schools may be closed

Due to the rapidly increasing air pollution, there is a possibility of holiday in Delhi’s schools and colleges. The government can issue instructions to close government schools due to pollution. Along with this, a decision will be taken on the odd-even scheme for non-emergency business activities and vehicles. The Center’s Air Quality Commission has banned the plying of diesel-powered light vehicles in Delhi-NCR. However, vehicles with BS-6 and emergency services have been exempted.
