Delhi University (DU) has announced winter vacation from November 13-19 in view of air pollution in the national capital. This information was given in an official notification issued by DU on Friday. Winter vacation in Delhi University usually takes place in December, but in view of the rules of Gradual Response Action Plan (GRAP) implemented due to the severe air pollution situation in Delhi, winter vacation has been declared earlier than scheduled. According to the notification, all the colleges and institutes of the university have been asked to declare winter vacation.

In a notification issued on Thursday, DU said, “In view of the norms of the Gradual Response Action Plan (GRAP) implemented to deal with the environmental challenges such as increasing pollution and worsening air quality in Delhi, the University and its colleges It has been decided to declare winter vacation from 13 to 19 November. ,

The university has also revised the dates of examinations for its undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses which will commence from December 20 and January 8 respectively.

A DU official said that the exam schedule for these courses will be released soon. However, there has been no change in the exam dates for School of Open Education (SOL) students.

Earlier, the examinations for undergraduate courses were scheduled for December 13, while the examinations for postgraduate courses were scheduled to be held from January 1. The official said that these examinations have been postponed by seven days.
