How much experience should you have?

The criteria for promotion have been decided by the Defense Ministry and according to this list, it is necessary to have 3 years of experience for promotion for Level 1 to 2 and 2 to 3. Along with this, 8 years of experience is required for Level 2 to 4. Whereas for level 3 to 4, there should be 5 years of experience. Whereas for Level 17 employees, 1 year experience is required and for Level 6 to 11, 12 years experience is required.

It has been said that the ministry and department should implement the changes in recruitment and service rules in the job. The pay band and grade should be included in the level pay matrix as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission.

How many years of service is required for promotion?

According to the change in promotion rules-
3 years service is necessary for Level 1 and Level 2.
For Level 6 to Level 11, 12 years of experience is necessary.
For Level 7 and Level 8, it is mandatory to have 2 years of service.

How much is the DA of the employees going to increase?

Dearness Allowance (DA) is to increase for July 2022. It will be considered applicable from 1 July 2022 only. Means, in case of payment in September, the government will also pay the arrears of the last two months, July and August. If sources are to be believed, it is to be announced in the Union Cabinet on 28 September. Due to this payment before Dussehra-Diwali, there will be a significant increase in the salary of the employees. The total dearness allowance is expected to increase by 4 percent. With this, the dearness allowance of the employees will be increased to 38 percent. Right now 34 percent DA is available.

This change will be done on the basis of the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission. It was hoped by DOPT that the changes required for promotion may be incorporated in the Recruitment Rules / Service Rules by making suitable amendments.

For these changes, all the Ministries / Departments have also been requested to make necessary changes in the recruitment rules by following the due process. Under the amended rules, it is necessary to have 3 years service for Level 1 and Level 2.
At the same time, 12 years of service is necessary for level 6 to level 11. But for Level 7 and Level 8, only two years of service is required.

There will be such an increase in the dearness allowance of the employees

It is noteworthy that under the 7th pay commission, the DA (dearness allowance) of central employees was increased in March 2022. At that time the government had increased it by 3 percent. Which increased from 31 percent to 34 percent. At that time, the employees of the Center were given three months arrears by the government. Now the dearness allowance of the employees has not increased since July. On this, an increase of 4 percent is expected to be announced on September 28. At the same time, no official announcement has been made by the government yet.
