<p><strong>8th pay commission Uttar Pradesh government employees</strong>: After the announcement of the establishment of the 8th Pay Commission of the Central Government, the expectations of the government employees of Uttar Pradesh have increased. This commission can submit its report to the government in 2026, after which about 8 lakh government employees and 4 lakh pensioners of Uttar Pradesh are likely to get the benefit of this scheme.</p>
<p><strong>How much benefit will the employees of UP get</strong></p>
<p>The 8th Pay Commission approved by the Central Government is expected to increase the salary of government employees by 25 percent to 30 percent. At present, the employees of UP are getting 53 percent dearness allowance under the Seventh Pay Commission. With the implementation of this commission, this percentage may increase further, which will lead to a bumper increase in the salary of the employees.</p>
<p><strong>When will the 8th Pay Commission be implemented</strong></p>
<p>According to reports, the UP government is ready for the process of implementing the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission. Looking at past experiences, when the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission were implemented, the UP government implemented it about 5-6 months after the central employees. The same is likely to happen this time as well. This means that if central employees start working on the new pay scale from January 2026, then UP government employees will probably be able to get its benefits by June 2026.</p>
<p><strong>How many thousand will the salary increase</strong></p>
<p>Experts believe that if the fitment factor is increased to 2.86, then it can increase the minimum basic salary by about 186 percent. For example, if the current basic pay of an employee is Rs 18,000, then according to the new fitment factor, his basic salary will increase to Rs 51,480. If you do not understand how it became Rs 51,480 from Rs 18000, then let us tell you that we have multiplied your basic salary by the fitment factor.</p>
<p>Whatever your basic salary is, you can find out how much your salary will increase after the 8th Pay Commission by multiplying it with the fitment factor announced by the government. Apart from this, let us tell you that at present, UP government employees are getting 53 percent dearness allowance (DA), which may increase further after this new recommendation.</p>

<p><strong>How much salary will increase</strong></p>
<p>When the Seventh Pay Commission was implemented, the minimum salary of the employees was 6 thousand rupees, but after that the minimum salary became 18000 rupees. The fitment factor is fixed at 2.57 times the basic salary, but there is a demand from the employees to increase it by 3 times. With the three times increase in the fitment factor, the minimum salary of the employees will be Rs 26,000.</p>
<p><strong>Basic salary of employees will also increase</strong></p>
<p>Under the Seventh Pay Commission, it has been decided to increase the fitment factor by 2.57 times. This means that when the fitment factor increases, the salary will also increase, because the total salary is calculated by multiplying allowances like dearness allowance, traveling allowance, house rent allowance, basic salary with the fitment factor. If you understand from example, multiplying the fitment factor on 18 thousand minimum salary, the salary will be more than 42 thousand, which includes allowances. On the other hand, if the fitment factor is tripled, then the basic salary will increase further.</p>
<p><strong>4 percent DA increase expected</strong></p>
<p>It has been said in many media reports that the government can further increase the dearness allowance in the salary of the employees. This gift of increase can be received in July. The government can increase the DA of the employees by 4 percent. However, these hikes can be decided only on the basis of AICPI figures.</p>
<p><strong>What is included in the salary of the employees</strong></p>
<p>First of all, minimum salary is given to the employees. After this the fitment factor is added to it. Then dearness allowance, traveling allowance, HRA and other allowances are included in it.</p>

Rakesh Singh, president of the UP Roadways Employees Association, along with his delegation, had demanded an increase in the dearness allowance. The delegation had met Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh regarding these demands. Now the employees&#8217; union has expressed happiness over the government&#8217;s decision.</p>

<p>Talking about this today, the Chief Minister of Karnataka said that- 17 percent hike has been announced as interim relief for the government employees. Explaining further, he said that the committee headed by the Additional Chief Secretary has also been asked to study the new pension scheme, financial impact and other matters in other states and then submit a detailed report.</p>
<p><strong>17 percent increase in salary</strong></p>
<p>The government has done this for the government employees at a time when the association had decided not to go to work demanding revision of pay based on the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission and withdrawal of the National Pension Scheme. After this decision of the government, there was a lot of obstruction in government works in Karnataka.</p>
<p>Explaining this, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai further said that- We have already appointed the Seventh Pay Commission . <p>Elaborating further about the new pension scheme, Chief Minister Bommai said that- a committee has been formed under the Additional Chief Secretary, which will study to reintroduce the old pension scheme. He told that the committee will be asked to submit its report within two months. However, the association is not going to withdraw its protest till a written order is issued.</p>

<p>In this, dearness allowance (DA) of central employees can be approved. It is believed that the allowance of central employees can be increased by four percent. At present, central employees get 38 per cent DA, which can be increased to 42 per cent. This will benefit more than one crore central employees and pensioners. The increased allowance will be applicable from January 1, 2023.</p>
<p>That is, he will get two months&#8217; arrears of DA in the salary of March. The government hikes the DA of its employees twice a year. Dearness Allowance for employees and pensioners is calculated on the basis of the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) released by the Labor Bureau every month. The Labor Bureau is a part of the Ministry of Labour.</p>
<p>Earlier, DA was increased by four percent from July 1, after which it increased to 38 percent. According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, general secretary of the All India Railwaymen&#8217;s Federation, the CPI-IW for December 2022 was released on January 31, 2023. Accordingly, the increase in dearness allowance works out to 4.23 per cent.</p>
<p><strong>How much will the salary increase</strong></p>

<p>Increase in dearness allowance A 4 percent increase in dearness allowance for July 2022 has been announced by the government in September. After this, dearness allowance is expected to increase by 4 percent in January 2023. On this, if the dearness allowance is increased by 4 percent, it will increase to 42 percent. Experts say that before the 2024 elections, the government is considering giving more gifts to the employees. <p><strong>Basic salary will be 50%</strong></p>
<p>First understand that the government has prepared 4 new labor codes by adding 29 labor laws. According to the provisions of the new law, the basic salary will be 50% of the total salary (CTC) in the salary that companies will pay to their employees. This means that the basic salary which used to be 30-35 percent earlier, will be increased by 15 percent directly and the reimbursement-allowance part will remain 50 percent.</p>
<p><strong>What is in the current salary structure?</strong></p>
<p><span>Suppose your monthly salary is an annual package of Rs 1.5 lakh i.e. Rs 18 lakh. In the current salary structure, the basic salary is 32% of the CTC. In this sense, in the monthly CTC of 1.50 lakh, the basic salary will be Rs 48,000. Then 50 percent i.e. Rs 24,000 HRA then 10% of basic (Rs 48,000) in NPS i.e. Rs 4,800 will go. </span></p>
<p><span>If 12% of the basic salary goes to the Provident Fund (PF), then Rs 5,760 will go to the EPF every month. In this way your monthly CTC of Rs 1.50 lakh has become Rs 82,560. This means that the remaining Rs 67,440 is being given through other items. These include components like special allowance, fuel and transport, phones, newspapers and books, monthly share in annual bonus, gratuity.</span></p>

<p><strong><span>How much tax, how much salary in hand and how much will be retirement savings?</span></strong></p>

<li><span>Out of your total CTC, Rs 1.19 lakh will be taxed. That means 6.6 percent tax of CTC.</span></li>
<li><span>Take home salary &#8211; Rs 1.06 lakh, 70.4 percent of CTC.</span></li>
<li><span>Retirement savings- Rs 3.06 lakh, 17 per cent of the total CTC.</span></li>
<li><span>In the new structure, your annual retirement savings will be Rs 3.06 (17% of CTC) as against Rs 1.96 lakh (10.9% of CTC) earlier. Meaning, your annual retirement savings will increase by Rs 1.10 lakh under the new structure.</span></li>

<p><strong><span>HRA will get less tax exemption</span></strong></p>
<p>According to the new rule, suppose the annual basic salary is Rs 9 lakh, then the HRA will be Rs 4,50,000. But, you will get tax exemption only on the exemption of Rs 2,42,400. Meaning tax will have to be paid on Rs 2,07,600. Earlier, you had to pay tax on only Rs 45,600 received under the head of HRA. There is going to be a huge increase in tax on HRA in the new salary structure. If you compare the tax on annual CTC, now you have to pay tax of 1.10 lakh (6.1% of total CTC), which will be Rs 1.19 lakh (6.6% of total CTC) in the new structure.</p>

<p><strong><span>In which structure, what is the accounting of take home salary, taxes and savings?</span></strong></p>
<p><span>We have shown 3 structures above, according to them, if you want, you can keep your take home salary as it is now, but you cannot stop the increase in tax. However, your annual retirement savings will increase.</span></p>
<p><span>In the existing salary structure, the take home salary is Rs 1.14 lakh, but in the new structure the take home salary will be reduced to Rs 1.08 lakh. If you leave the option of NPS, then it will increase to Rs 1.15 lakh. In the first structure, tax is to be paid Rs 1.10 lakh (6.14% of CTC). In the new structure, this will increase to Rs 1.19 lakh (6.6% of CTC). There will be no tax effect even if you leave NPS and you will have to pay only Rs 1.19 lakh.</span></p>
<p><span>In the current structure, the retirement savings of this salary bracket is Rs 1.96 lakh (10.9% of CTC), which will increase to Rs 3.06 lakh (17% of CTC) in the new structure. On leaving NPS, retirement savings will be Rs 2.16 lakh (12% of CTC) instead of Rs 1.96 lakh.</span><strong><span>In this case your take home salary will increase</span></strong></p>
