DA Hike: Before Holi, the Karnataka government has given a tremendous gift to all the government employees. He has decided to give this gift today itself. Let us tell you that elections are going to be held in the coming few days.

Talking about this today, the Chief Minister of Karnataka said that- 17 percent hike has been announced as interim relief for the government employees. Explaining further, he said that the committee headed by the Additional Chief Secretary has also been asked to study the new pension scheme, financial impact and other matters in other states and then submit a detailed report.

17 percent increase in salary

The government has done this for the government employees at a time when the association had decided not to go to work demanding revision of pay based on the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission and withdrawal of the National Pension Scheme. After this decision of the government, there was a lot of obstruction in government works in Karnataka.

Explaining this, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai further said that- We have already appointed the Seventh Pay Commission . Not only this, he also said that – talks have been held with the association and after the talks, we have reached an agreement that as an interim relief, we are increasing the salaries of government employees by 17 percent. Orders have also been issued for this.

Committee formed regarding pension scheme

Elaborating further about the new pension scheme, Chief Minister Bommai said that- a committee has been formed under the Additional Chief Secretary, which will study to reintroduce the old pension scheme. He told that the committee will be asked to submit its report within two months. However, the association is not going to withdraw its protest till a written order is issued.
