There are two categories of employees whose allowances have increased. Employees who are not allowed the benefit of merger of 50% of DA with basic pay.

Employees 6th Pay Commission: There is good news for the Zilla Parishad cadre employees of Himachal Pradesh. Before Diwali, the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhku government of the state has given a big gift to the Zilla Parishad cadre employees.

The state government has decided to give the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission to the employees. According to media reports, the Finance Department has approved the proposal for this, now it will come in the cabinet meeting soon.

Employees will get the benefit of Sixth Pay Commission

According to media reports, 4700 workers will benefit from this decision of the state government. The special thing is that the Finance Department has approved the new pay scale from the present time. From the date on which the employees in the state have been given the benefit of the Sixth Pay Commission, Zilla Parishad employees will be given the benefit of the new pay commission. Now the final approval will be given on this in the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet meeting. After this the employees will start getting benefits.

The proposal will come in the cabinet

It is worth noting that for a long time, the Zilla Parishad cadre workers were demanding for arrears since 2016, merger in the Panchayati Raj Department and giving the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission, for this they had also organized a strike in the past, however, after the assurance of the state government, the strike was called off.

It was abolished and now the government has decided to give the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission to the employees. Here, a meeting was to be held on Monday regarding many issues including salary related, but it has been postponed due to Chief Minister Sukhu being unwell. Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh says that the government is serious about all the demands of the Zilla Parishad employees, all the demands will be resolved in a phased manner.

Seeks approval from Finance Department to give Rs 15 lakh each to Asiad medal winners
The Himachal Pradesh government is also making big preparations to give Rs 15 lakh each to the winning players of the state who won gold medals in the Asian Games in China. For this, the Sports Department has sent a proposal to the Finance Department and sought approval.

This amount will be released on January 25, Complete Statehood Day or April 15, Himachal Day. Under this, cash prizes worth about one crore rupees will be provided. Separate amounts of money are to be given to six medal winners of Himachal and seven other players participating in various sports in the Asian Games held from September 29 to October 8, 2023.

7th Pay Commission: Government employees can calculate their salary under the Seventh Pay Commission. For this, the government has prepared a simple pay matrix table chart. It was introduced under the Pay Commission.

Explain that under the Sixth Pay Commission, the basic salary entry level of the employees was 7 thousand, on which 125 percent dearness allowance was available. After the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission, the salary of the employees has increased by up to 14 percent. Along with this, DA is also being given.

Role of pay matrix in salary of employees

The pay matrix table gives complete information about the basic salary of the central employees to the increase. This is a simple salary structure. Under this, pay levels have been created, due to which it is easy to calculate the salary. Five salary levels have been created under the pay matrix table.

Rs 18000 Rs 56 thousand 900 under first pay level

19,900 to 63,200 under the second pay level

Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 in the third pay level

Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100 in the fourth pay level

Rs 29,900 to Rs 92,200 in the fifth pay level

what is pay matrix table

The pay matrix chart shows the salary of government employees. Their salary has been divided according to the pay level. You can calculate your level and increment using the pay matrix. Under the Seventh Pay Commission, all the employees can calculate their salary with the help of this pay matrix. Under the Seventh Pay Commission, the minimum limit of pay level is Rs 18 thousand, which means that no employee will get salary less than this.

How is the salary calculated under the 7th Pay Commission?

The Seventh Pay Commission was implemented on January 1, 2016, due to which the fitment factor or basic salary of the employees increased by 2.57 times. The salary of government employees is calculated on the basis of basic salary. Total monthly salary is given by adding total basic salary + DA + HRA + travel account + other allowances.

8th Pay Commission latest news: There is relief news for central employees. There can be a big increase in their minimum salary. The amazing thing is that on one side there is talk that the 8th Pay Commission will not come.

At the same time, now this thing has gained momentum that the salary of the employees will increase only at the time of 8th Pay Commission. And this increase can be bigger than the increase in the Sixth Pay Commission. If sources are to be believed, general elections are to be held in the year 2024. Only after this there will be any discussion on the salary of the employees or on the constitution of the Pay Commission. But, it is certain that the matter is moving forward.

After the 8th Pay Commission, there will be a tremendous jump in salary.
There is currently no proposal on the 8th Pay Commission. The Union Minister of State for Finance has also mentioned this in the Parliament. But, sources in government departments tell that it is not right to discuss it now.

Because, the time has not come for the constitution of the Pay Commission. Its limit will start in the year 2024. It is expected that after the general elections of 2024, when the new government will be formed, a decision will be taken on this. If the Eighth Pay Commission is formed, then there can be a huge jump in the salary. It will be calculated in comparison to the previous pay commission.

Pay commission may be implemented in the year 2025-26

If it is assumed that this discussion proves correct, then the 8th Pay Commission will be formed by the end of the year 2024. At the same time, it can also be implemented by the year 2025 or 2026. There can be a tremendous jump in the salary of central government employees.

According to the sources, according to the 7th Pay Commission, there can be many changes in the 8th Pay Commission. In this, the salary will not increase on the formula of fitment factor. Rather, salary increment with any other formula can light the lamp. Also, once in 10 years, the constitution of the Pay Commission can also be changed. It can be started on the lines of every year.

Can there be salary revision every year in 8th pay commission?

After the formation of the 7th Pay Commission, there was the least increase in the minimum salary of central employees. Actually, the salary was increased according to the Fitment Factor. In this it was kept 2.57 times. With this, the basic salary was increased to Rs 18,000. If this formula is considered as the basis, then the minimum salary will be Rs.26000 under the maximum range of fitment factor in the 8th Pay Commission. After this, salary revision of lower level employees can be done every year on performance basis. At the same time, revision of employees with maximum salary can be kept at an interval of 3 years.

In which Pay Commission, how much did the salary increase?

Salary hike of central employees in 4th Pay Commission: 27.6% done. In this, his minimum pay scale was fixed at Rs.750.

In the 5th Pay Commission, the employees got a big gift and their salary was increased by 31 percent. Due to this, his minimum wage directly increased to Rs.2550 per month.

The fitment factor was implemented in the 6th Pay Commission. This was kept at 1.86 times at that time. Due to this, the employees got the biggest hike in salary. There was an increase of 54 percent in his minimum salary. Due to this the basic salary increased to Rs.7000.

In the year 2014, 7th Pay Commission was formed. It was implemented in the year 2016. In this too, considering the fitment factor as the basis, an increase of 2.57 times was made. But, the salary increase that happened was only 14.29 percent. However, the basic salary increased to Rs 18,000. Expressing protest against this, the employees insisted on increasing the fitment. But, at present it is stable at 2.57 times.

8th Pay Commission, how much will the salary increase?

Now let’s talk about the formation of the 8th Pay Commission. If the government sets up the Eighth Pay Commission on the old scale, then the fitment factor will be kept on the basis of it. On this basis, the fitment of the employees can be done 3.68 times. On this basis, there can be an increase of 44.44% in the minimum wage of the employees. With this, the minimum salary of the employees can be Rs 26000.

Will 8th pay commission come or not?

Now the question is when will the 8th pay commission be formed? At present there is no such proposal. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chowdhary also categorically denied this in the Lok Sabha. However, if sources are to be believed, the Pay Commission will be formed when the time comes.

But, now the government has time to consider the new scale of salary hike. That’s why ways are being searched for this. Experts believe that general elections are to be held in the year 2024. In such a situation, the government would not want to anger the employees. But, it is not correct to say that the next pay commission will not come.
