What will be special in Vande Bharat Sleeper Train?

Vande Bharat Sleeper Train has been manufactured by BEML (Bharat Earth Movers Limited) at Integral Coach Factory (ICF). This train will be fully air-conditioned (AC) and will have 16 coaches. These coaches have been divided into three categories.  

• AC First Class: The most premium and comfortable coach, in which passengers will get special facilities.
• AC Second Tier: Medieval level coach, which will be a great combination of comfort and convenience.  
• AC Three Tier: Economical but equipped with modern facilities coaches.

1128 passengers will be able to travel in the train at a time. Every coach has been designed in such a way that passengers get complete comfort even during long distance travel.

Vande Bharat Sleeper train will have many such facilities which will make it different from other trains. Railways has equipped this train with modern technology and passenger facilities. Let us know about them. 

• Touch-free bio-vacuum toilet: Complete care has been taken of cleanliness and hygiene.  
• Attendant Button: Allows passengers to instantly call the attendant for any assistance.
• Modular Pantry: To further enhance food storage facilities.  
• CCTV: CCTV cameras will be installed in the train for security.  
• Charging Port: Facility to charge mobile and laptop on every seat.

Apart from these, the railways have provided a very special facility in this train, which will be seen for the first time in the history of Indian Railways. Actually, passengers will get the facility of hot water for bathing in the AC First Class of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. This facility will be very beneficial especially for those traveling long distances in the cold season. 

There is still suspense about the route

The railways have not yet clarified on which routes the first Vande Bharat sleeper train will run. The Railway Board will soon take a decision on this. It is believed that this train will run on those routes where the demand for long distance travel is high. These may include busy routes like Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Howrah or Mumbai-Ahmedabad.

The Railway Minister said that the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will run at a speed of 160/kmph, which can reach a top speed of 180/kmph. This train will have a total of 16 coaches, including 11 3AC, 4 2AC and 1 first class coaches.

The Railway Minister said that along with the safety of the passengers, the facilities of the loco pilots and attendants have also been taken care of. All these trains have been designed in a new way. The loco cab has been improved. In view of safety, armor is pre-fitted in these trains.

This train covers New Delhi-Varanasi distance 3 hours before as compared to other trains on the same route. The fare for chair car of Vande Bharat Express between Varanasi to New Delhi is Rs.1750. The fare for the executive car is Rs.3025. The full fare for chair car of 22436 New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express from New Delhi to Varanasi is Rs.1805 while the fare for executive car will be Rs.2394.
