On Friday, 1st November, the stock market was closed on the occasion of Diwali. After this, on Friday, 15th November, the stock market will remain closed due to Guru Nanak Jayanti. After this, on Wednesday, 20th November, the stock market will remain closed on the day of Maharashtra assembly elections. Holiday notification issued on NSE

Both the sessions of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), i.e. morning and evening sessions will also remain closed.

The stock market and multi commodity exchange will open at the scheduled time on August 16 (Friday).

Banks will also remain closed

According to the Bank Holiday List released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), all banks will be closed on 15 August 2024 due to Independence Day. However, the bank will remain open on 16 August and 17 August. This means that it is not a long weekend. Despite the bank being closed, the customer can use services like net banking, online banking, ATM.
