The month of August is about to begin. Holidays are very important for people working in the stock market and those using banking services. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the official list of bank holidays for the month of August.

During this entire month, government and private banks across the country will remain closed for a total of 15 days. These holidays include national festivals like Independence Day, Ganesh Chaturthi and Janmashtami as well as cultural and religious festivals celebrated in various states. Apart from this, like every month, banks will remain closed on every Sunday and on the second and fourth Saturdays.

So if you have to do any urgent work at the bank, plan ahead keeping in mind the August holidays. Especially around festivals and weekends, when banks may remain closed for two or three days in a row.

If we talk about weekends, then in August, banks will remain closed on 3rd, 9th, 10th, 17th, 23rd, 24th and 31st. These are the days that fall under regular weekend holidays. That is, all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Apart from this, there may be holidays in your state, the details of which are given below.

Banks closed in Gangtok, Sikkim on August 8

On August 9, there will be a bank holiday in many states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and Jhulan Purnima.

Banks will remain closed on August 13 in Imphal, Manipur on Patriotic Day.

On August 15, there will be a holiday across India on Independence Day, along with the Parsi New Year (Shahinshahi), Janmashtami will also be celebrated in some states.

Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Telangana, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir and many other states on August 16 on the occasion of Janmashtami (Shavan Vad-8) and Krishna Jayanti.

There will be a holiday in Agartala, Tripura on August 19 on the birthday of Maharaja Veer Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur.

Banks will remain closed in Guwahati, Assam on August 25 due to the death anniversary of Sant Shrimant Shankardev.

Banks will remain closed on August 27 on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi in states like Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.

There will be a holiday in Odisha and Goa on August 28, the second day of Nuakhai and Ganesh Chaturthi.

How will work be done when the bank is closed?

There is no need to panic. Most banking services have gone digital these days. Be it net banking, mobile banking, UPI payments or withdrawing money from ATMs. All these facilities are available at all times, even on holidays. Yes, some tasks like cheque clearing or processing of promissory notes, which comes under the Negotiable Instruments Act, are not possible without banks being open.

Talking about the stock market, there will be two holidays apart from the weekend. The first holiday will be on August 15, Independence Day. This day is Friday. The second holiday will be for Ganesh Chaturthi, which will fall on August 27. This day will be Wednesday.

Mutual Fund SIP: The stock market is a risky investment option. That is why a large number of people are afraid to invest in it. But you can invest indirectly in it through mutual funds. Here the risk is less as compared to the stock market. It is not necessary that you invest a lump sum in mutual funds. You can also invest in mutual funds every month through SIP. Today we will tell you through the SIP calculator how you can accumulate a fund of Rs 1 crore with a SIP of just Rs 6000.

In this way a fund of Rs 1 crore will be prepared

If you are lucky, you can get 50% annual return from mutual fund SIP. But it depends on the condition of the stock market and the performance of the fund. However, in the long term, an average annual return of 12% is easily obtained in SIP. Here we are assuming an average annual return of 12%. Now if you invest Rs 6000 every month in SIP, then in 24 years you will have a fund of ₹1,00,36,123. In this, Rs 17,28,000 is your investment amount and Rs 83,08,123 is interest income.

Investors should keep these things in mind

While investing in mutual fund SIP, you should pay special attention to some important things. First of all, you should know that SIP never gives a fixed return. In SIP, you can get a return of 20 percent or even a negative return of -10 percent. You also have to pay long term capital gains tax on the total return received through SIP. In such a situation, your total corpus may decrease. This year, the central government has increased the long term capital gains tax from 10 percent to 12.5 percent.

Disclaimer: Money invested in mutual funds is subject to market risks. Before investing in it, take advice from experts. If you invest in mutual funds without information, in this situation you may have to face a big loss. The return on investment made in mutual funds is decided by the market behavior.

New Delhi. Stock market regulator SEBI has revised the time limit for credit rating agencies by introducing compliance deadlines in ‘working days’ instead of ‘days’. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in a circular announced changes in the rules for CRAs aimed at standardizing the rating process and publishing protocols.

These changes have been made based on the recommendations of a working group on credit rating agencies. The working group had highlighted the challenges arising from the existing timelines, especially on non-working days.

“One of the recommendations of the CRA Working Group on Ease of Doing Business relates to amendment in the approach for specifying timelines from ‘days’ to ‘working days’,” Sebi said.

Under the revised rules, credit rating agencies are required to issue a press release on rating actions within seven working days of the occurrence of an event, which was earlier seven calendar days. Similarly, the timeline for review of ratings in cases of delay in debt servicing has been adjusted from two calendar days to two working days. Also, Sebi has extended the timeline for marking the rating as ‘issuer not cooperating’ if the non-default statement or ‘NDS’ is not submitted for three consecutive months to five working days instead of seven calendar days.

Let us tell you that the Securities Exchange Board of India issues new guidelines from time to time to maintain transparency in the stock market and protect the interests of investors. Apart from this, SEBI also takes action to impose fines on brokers or big companies carrying out illegal activities in the stock market. Recently, in the case of front running, SEBI has imposed fines on many big investors and brokers, and has also banned them from working in the stock market.

Market regulator SEBI has proposed to introduce the facility of algorithmic trading (algo trading) for retail investors. Currently, this facility is available only to institutional investors.

This technology makes trading faster, cheaper and more transparent through computer programs. By using algo trading, investors can buy and sell quickly.

This makes it easier to transact in the stock market and SEBI says that this facility will be provided to retail investors with safety and proper regulations. SEBI had sought suggestions from the public on this proposal till December 3. After this, the final rules will be issued. According to a previous study by SEBI, 97% of FPI (Foreign Portfolio Investors) and 96% of proprietary traders’ profits in Futures and Options (F&O) trade in FY24 came from algo trading.

According to the proposal given by SEBI, the facility of algo trading will be provided to retail investors through stock brokers. For this, the broker will first have to take permission from the stock exchange. Every transaction in the trade will be tagged with a unique identifier given by the stock exchange, so that the trade can be monitored. The broker will have to take permission from the exchange for any change in the algorithm system.

API will be used

API (Application Programming Interface-API) will be used for algo trading. Brokers will play a key role in this process, while algo providers or fintech companies will act as their agents. Providers providing algo trading facilities will have to register with the stock exchange.

According to a report in Business Standard, stock exchanges, in collaboration with SEBI, will decide on the responsibilities of brokers and algorithm providers. To speed up the registration of certain types of algorithms (such as execution algorithms), a turnaround time (TAT) will be fixed.

Ajay Garg, Director and CEO, SMC Global Securities Limited, says that SEBI’s proposal for algorithmic trading for retail investors is the need of the hour. He said that under the new framework, retail investors will be able to use approved algorithms only from registered brokers. This step will protect the interests of investors.

New Delhi. There is good news for small investors. Actually, LIC Mutual Fund plans to introduce a small amount Systematic Investment Plan (SIP). The company plans to start a daily SIP of Rs 100, while the current limit for the fund house is Rs 300. The company’s MD and CEO RK Jha gave this information.

This decision has come at a time when market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is advocating small SIPs so that investors’ participation is higher. Recently SEBI Chairperson Madhavi Puri Buch talked about micro-SIP.

Daily wage labourers will also be able to take advantage of the stock market boom.
Speaking at an event organised to launch the NFO on manufacturing fund in Mumbai, RK Jha said that the AMC is working with registrar KFintech Services. LIC Mutual Fund plans to reduce the current limit of minimum SIP amount to Rs 100 per day and Rs 200 for monthly SIP. He said that this move will help the fund house reach those sections of the society which have not benefited from the stock market boom.

LIC Mutual Fund will increase AU

Jha further said that the fund house is aiming to increase its asset under management (AUM) from Rs 35,000 crore to Rs 65,000 crore by the end of this financial year and to Rs 1 lakh crore by the end of FY 2025-26.

What is SIP?

SIP is the easiest way to invest in mutual funds. Under SIP, the investor invests a fixed amount at regular intervals. A fixed amount is deducted from your bank account at regular intervals and invested in SIP.

New Delhi. Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has not set any timeline for retiring from his $210 billion business group and handing over its command to his sons and nephews.

The group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises Limited has informed the stock markets about this. The company said that a media report has misinterpreted Gautam Adani’s successor statement.

Adani Enterprises said, “In a recent interview, Gautam Adani shared his views on succession planning to ensure the stability of the business. He said that succession is not just an event, but a journey, and it should happen in a natural, sequential and systematic manner.” According to the company, Gautam Adani had not set the age of 70 for his retirement as stated in the report. The company said, Adani has not set any date or time for retirement … He had mentioned the participation of his two sons and two nephews in various businesses of the group.

What was the matter?

‘Bloomberg News’ had reported on August 5 that 62-year-old Adani is planning to step down at the age of 70. In this report, Adani was quoted as saying, “Succession is very important for the stability of the business. I left this option to the second generation because the change should be fundamental, gradual and extremely systematic.

” In this report, Adani’s sons – Karan (37) and Jeet (26) as well as nephews Pranav (45) and Sagar (30) were mentioned as possible successors. According to this media report, when Gautam Adani retires, all four successors will become equal beneficiaries of the family trust. The family trust controls Adani Enterprises along with eight foreign companies and one domestically formed firm.

No date

Adani Enterprises did not give any date to the stock market for Adani’s retirement or succession plan. Along with this, it said that Adani has been misquoted about successors and equal beneficial interests in the family trust. Adani started his journey as a commodity trader in the year 1988 and in just a few decades, the Adani Group expanded to ports, airports, roads, power, renewable energy, power transmission, gas distribution, real estate, FMCG, cement, data center and media business.

SIP: SIP has become a popular way of investing. You can earn lakhs of rupees by investing in the right way. You have to save some money from your monthly income and do SIP in mutual funds regularly and continue this investment for the long term.

Many people shy away from the stock market due to the risk involved. If you are interested in profit in the stock market and want to avoid volatility, consider investing in mutual funds through Systematic Investment Plan (SIP). SIP allows you to invest a fixed amount regularly to deal with market fluctuations with a disciplined approach.

What is Systematic Investment Plan (SIP)

Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) is not just an investment vehicle. It is a way to create reliable income for your future. By pledging to invest a fixed amount every month, you can develop a habit that can secure your financial future. Even starting with Rs 3000 per month at the age of 25 can make a huge impact.

What is Compounded Growth

The power of compounding works wonders over time. If you start investing Rs 3,000 every month at the age of 25, you would have invested Rs 36,000 in the first year, but by the time you reach the age of 35, the cumulative investment will be Rs 1.89 lakh. The magic happens when you continue this disciplined approach for 35 years

Know how a Rs 3,000 monthly SIP turns into Rs 1.5 lakh per month

Assuming an average annual return of 12 per cent, your SIP investment of Rs 1.89 lakh in the first year can grow to Rs 2.99 crore by the end of 35 years. SIP turns your consistent monthly investments into a substantial wealth-building strategy. If you choose to invest this substantial sum of about Rs three crore in your retirement fund, even at a modest fixed deposit rate of 6 per cent, it can provide you a monthly income of about Rs 1.5 lakh.

The post SIP of Rs 3000 per month will give you Rs 1.5 lakh per month after retirement first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Post Office RD Scheme: If you want to save or invest some money by cutting down on your monthly income, then investing in post office schemes can prove to be a better option for you.

Recurring Deposit (RD) is a very popular scheme among the savings schemes of the post office, in which bumper returns can be obtained by depositing money on a monthly basis. People are given strong interest on investing in this scheme. Investing in it is very easy, safe and reliable. The special thing is that if you invest in the stock market or schemes of any other financial companies, then the chances of your money sinking are high. On the other hand, if you invest money in this scheme of the post office, then the chances of sinking are less. Let us know about the Post Office Recurring Deposit Scheme.

How much interest do you get

If you want to invest in RD of Post Office Schemes , then you should also get information about the interest you get on investing in it. The central government has currently increased the interest rate on investing in the Post Office Recurring Deposit Scheme. After investing in this scheme, the investor is paid interest at the rate of 6.7 percent. Along with this, depositing a fixed amount in this scheme gives excellent returns on the maturity date.

Also Read: I-T Department appealed: Link PAN to Aadhaar immediately before 31st May, Otherwise you will have to pay higher TDS

How much return will you get on an investment of Rs 3000

Now if you deposit Rs 3000 every month in the post office RD scheme for 5 years, then during these 5 years, about Rs 1,80,000 will be deposited in your account. Now if interest is paid on this deposit at the rate of 6.7 percent, then the interest amount will be Rs 34,097. This means that if you deposit Rs 3000 every month for 5 years, then on the maturity date you will get a total of Rs 2,14,097.

How to calculate interest rate

According to Policybazaar.com, if someone deposits Rs 7000 every month in the Post Office RD scheme for 5 years, then his total deposit amount will be Rs 4,20,000. Now he will get interest of about Rs 77,400 on this deposit at the rate of 6.7 percent in 5 years. After this, about Rs 4,97,400 will be paid on the maturity date. The formula given below is used to calculate the interest rate.

Monthly deposit, R = Rs. 7,000

Tenure of RD = 5 years

Total number of quarters in the tenure, n = 5 years X 4 quarters

= 20 years

Interest rate at the time of joining RD = 6.7% p.a.

Therefore, i = 6.7/400 = 0.01675

So, the maturity amount at the end of 5 year tenure will be:

M = R x [(1 + i) x n – 1] / 1 – (1 + i) (-1 / 3)

Maturity amount = 7,000 x [(1 + 20) x 20 – 1] / 1 – (1 + 0.01675) (-1/3)

Maturity amount = Rs. 4,97,400

SEBI Rules for IPO: Application supported by blocked amount is used in India for initial public offering or follow-on public offering. In which the amount is deducted from the bank account of the investor only when the shares are allotted to him.

Many people cheat investors in the stock market. But now the Security Exchange Board of India has come up with a new rule for the investors. After the implementation of which money will be deducted from investors’ accounts only when investors buy shares. Broker’s commission will also not be charged before the share transaction is done. For example, the service of ASBA is taken advantage of in IPOs. Similarly, now ASBA will be implemented in the stock markets as well. After which the fraud in the stock market will be curbed.

What is ASBA?

Application Supported by Blocked Amount (ASBA) is used in India for initial public offering or follow-on public offering. In which the amount is deducted from the bank account of the investor only when the shares are allotted to him. In this rule, the amount of the first investor is blocked. Which is deducted after every transaction. Now the same rule is going to be implemented in Savvy stock market as well. SEBI will implement this rule from 1 January 2024.

Security Exchange Board of India i.e. SEBI said that through ASBA i.e. Application

Supported by Blocked Amount, people investing in the stock market can be protected from fraud. After the implementation of ASBA, the money is deducted only until the process of buying and selling of shares is completed. It remains in the hands of the investors that the amount they want to block outright, they will get the facility to deduct from the account several times. The amount of share investors is first sent to the clearing corporation. Where the amount can be withdrawn only on the purchase and sale of shares. This facility can be availed on the basis of UPI.

Investors will have options

Your money is blocked under ASBA. Which is deducted from your account only when the share transaction is done. But it completely depends on the investors and brokers whether they want to avail this facility or not. But investors who have multiple broking accounts can use non-UPI facility for some accounts and UPI facility for other accounts if they so desire. After implementing this new rule of SEBI, the fraud in the stock market can be reduced to a great extent.

The post Sebi New Rules: SEBI’s new plan to protect investors from fraud in the stock market first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.

Mutual Fund Premature Rules: Investment in Mutual Fund Schemes has increased in recent years. It is being liked more especially among the people of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

Due to the high risk involved in investing directly in the stock market, people show more confidence in investing through Mutual Funds . In such a situation, if you are planning to withdraw money from mutual funds before time or maturity, then this news is for you.

Money can be withdrawn from mutual funds before time (Withdrawal money from mutual fund before lock-in period ended) , but this does not apply to all types of mutual funds. There are also some mutual funds where you may have to pay a fine or penalty for withdrawing money from time or lock-in period.

From which mutual funds can I withdraw money?

Most mutual fund schemes are open ended. Investment can be withdrawn at any time from open ended mutual fund schemes. Withdrawals can be made in parts instead of the entire investment. On this, according to your scheme, you just have to pay the exit load, which is generally very less.

On the other hand, there are Equity Linked Savings Scheme (ELSS) mutual fund schemes. You also get tax exemption on these schemes under Section-80C of Income Tax. That’s why there is a ‘lock in period’ of three years on these schemes. In such a situation, whenever money is withdrawn from these schemes before time, then penalty has to be paid. It can be between 5 to 10 percent.

How to withdraw money from mutual fund?

There are many ways to withdraw money from mutual funds. Whenever you plan to withdraw money from an open ended mutual fund scheme, usually the minimum units that can be redeemed are reflected in your scheme document.

Investments in mutual funds can be redeemed at the Investor Service Centers of the scheme offering companies, at the offices of asset management companies, through demat accounts or through online platforms.

Do you want to know in which savings scheme to invest money so that it doubles as soon as possible? There are many such schemes in the market which double your investment in a fixed period.

If you keep investing in such a scheme according to the rules and duration, then you get double the money. But you should keep in mind that this is not a miracle but a rule of the scheme. Thumbnail 72 is very effective for this, which shows in how many days the money will double in the scheme. In this rule, the annual return is divided by 72. It shows that in how many days the money in the scheme will double.

1-Tax free bonds

Tax pre bonds were earlier issued only for a specific period. But the government has allowed some state government companies to issue bonds up to Rs 40,000 crore. Apart from this, huge demand is seen for PFC and NTPC bonds. The annual return on such tax free bonds is 8.20% to 8.50%. This type of bond can double money in 8-9 years.

2-Kisan Vikas Patra

Kisan Vikas Patra scheme is considered the best scheme to double the money. In this scheme, the investment used to double in the first 124 months. The government has recently changed it and reduced its duration by 1 month. Now the amount invested in this scheme doubles in 123 months i.e. 10 years 3 months.

3-Gold ETF

Investing in Gold has always been beneficial. Apart from physical gold, good earnings can be made by investing in gold ETFs and gold bonds. If you want, you can also invest in Sovereign Gold Bond. The government and the Reserve Bank run this scheme. You can invest at least one gram of gold in this. On this, 2.5 percent interest is received every year. Its lock in period is of 8 years. Money can double in Gold ETF in 8 years.

4-stock market

Stock market plays a big role in earning and doubling money. Direct stock investment carries a lot of risk, but its returns are also very high. On the other hand, if you invest money in a particular stock for a long time, the risk will be less and the returns will also be good. This return can go up to 20%. For example, Eicher Motors stock gives more than 28% returns in five years. Money doubles in such stocks in 3.5 to 4 years.

5-Real Estate

Your money can also be doubled by investing in real estate. Good rental income can be earned by investing in residential real property. This also helps in saving tax. Money invested in real estate can double in 6-7 years. But the special thing is that you have to invest a lump sum amount in real estate. In how many days the money will double, it will depend on the location and infrastructure.

The post Good News ! 5 great schemes to double money, when and how will you earn… know the details first appeared on Rightsofemployees.com.
