Lucknow-Jaipur Vande Bharat Time Table

According to a report published on Bhaskar.com quoting railway sources, it is proposed to operate Vande Bharat Express from Lucknow’s Gomtinagar station to Jaipur. This train will leave from Lucknow at 5:50 am and reach Jaipur at 2 pm. On the return journey, the train will leave from Jaipur at 3 pm and reach Gomtinagar station at 11 pm.

Vande Bharat train will run 6 days a week

Lucknow-Jaipur Vande Bharat train will run six days a week. Its service will not be available on Saturday. The train will be maintained on that day. The proposal has been sent to the Railway Board and the concerned railway zones on August 4. Northeast Railway has prepared a proposal to run Vande Bharat Express not only for Lucknow-Jaipur but also for three other routes.

These include Gorakhpur to Agra Fort, Banaras to Jabalpur and Izzatnagar to Chandigarh. Railway sources say that the Railway Board is giving priority to this plan and the approval process will be completed soon. On the same day, speeds of 170 km/h and 160 km/h were achieved on the Kota-Nagda and Rohal Khurd-Chowmahala sections respectively.

When will Vande Sleeper join the railway fleet?

The Railway Ministry said in a statement, “After the tests, the trains will be evaluated by the Railway Safety Commissioner at maximum speed. Only after passing the final stage, Vande Bharat trains will be officially certified and handed over to the Indian Railways for regular service.” A report in Financial Express quoted railway sources as saying that the Vande Bharat Sleeper train will join the railway fleet by May this year.

Experts believe that Vande Bharat Sleeper trains will reduce travel time by 2-4 hours as compared to Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express. Harshit Kapadia, Vice President of Elara Securities, says that these trains have better speed stability, more comfortable facilities, and effective braking system for jerk-free travel. Currently, the average speed of the fastest train running between Mumbai and Delhi is 90 kilometers per hour. Vande Bharat Sleeper will run at a faster speed and complete the journey in less time.

Fares will be expensive

The fares of Vande Bharat sleeper trains will be more expensive than Rajdhani and other trains. Due to this, many people are skeptical whether it will contribute to increasing the passenger income of the railways. For example, the fare of Vande Bharat chair car is 25-30% higher than the chair car coaches of other trains, which has affected its overall passenger rate. Kapadia said, “We expect the fares of Vande Bharat sleeper services to be similarly premium. These trains will be mainly for middle and upper middle class passengers, who will be willing to pay a little extra for better comfort and ambiance.”

With this new train, Indian Railways is planning to enhance travel convenience during the busiest time of the year, to ensure that passengers can celebrate festivals with ease.

The Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special train has the longest route of the Vande Bharat Express. As far as regular Vande Bharat Express is concerned, the longest route is of New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat. This was the country’s first Vande Bharat Express which was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15, 2019. It covers 771 km from New Delhi to Varanasi in about 8 hours.

The New Delhi-Patna train has an even longer route. However, it has been run for a special purpose. Vande Bharat trains are currently being run on the route of Shatabdi and have only seating arrangements. Railways plans to start Sleeper Vande Bharat Express in this financial year.

MP from Malda North, West Bengal, Khagen Murmu proposed to change the rake of Gaur Express and AC coach in Bhagalpur-Malda Intercity Express. MP from Banka, Bihar, Girdhari Yadav proposed to revise the timing of the train running between Bhagalpur-Deoghar, stoppage of Kaviguru Express at Dhanauri and opening of PRS in Katoria. MP from Jharkhand, Sarfaraz Ahmed demanded stoppage of Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express at Madhupur and starting of Giridih-New Delhi Humsafar Express train three days a week.
