Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Vande Bharat Express train from Una in Himachal Pradesh. This will be the fourth Vande Bharat train to be introduced in the country. This train will be more updated and faster than before.

Now passengers will be able to travel from Delhi to Chandigarh in just 3 hours. A new Vande Bharat Express train is going to start on this route from today. On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Vande Bharat Express train from Una in Himachal Pradesh. This will be the fourth Vande Bharat train to be introduced in the country. The special thing is that it is more updated and lighter than the previous trains. It can easily reach the top speed in less time.

This train will run from Delhi to Una’s Amb Andaura railway station. The new Vande Bharat Express train will run six days a week except Wednesday. Its stoppages will be at Ambala, Chandigarh, Anandpur Sahib and Una. The train will accelerate to 100 kmph in just 52 seconds.

Tourism will get a boost The PMO said that the introduction of Vande Bharat train in Himachal Pradesh will help in promoting tourism there and provide a comfortable and fast mode of travel. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of two hydroelectric projects at a public function in Chamba and launch the third phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in Himachal Pradesh.

Vande Bharat, which started between Gandhinagar and Mumbai, is also a special thing that the Vande Bharat Express train is starting in Himachal Pradesh at a time where assembly elections are to be held in the state this year. Last month, PM Modi flagged off the third Vande Bharat Express in Gujarat, another election state. This train runs between Gandhinagar to Mumbai.

Roads to be built with Rs 420 crore

The PMO said that the Prime Minister will also launch the third phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in Himachal Pradesh for the updation of about 3,125 km of roads in the state. The central government has sanctioned more than Rs 420 crore for upgradation of 440 km of roads in 15 border and remote blocks of the state.
